Job Title: SRE/APPLICATION PRODUCTION SUPPORT

Department: CIB – CEFS APS

About Business line/Function: 

CIB is the corporate‑and‑institutional‑banking arm of the French banking group BNPParibas. It sits between the retail‑banking division (BNPParibas Personal Finance & Retail Banking) and the asset‑management arm (BNPParibas Asset Management).

Position Purpose: 

This role provides SRE‑level production support for Java‑based services in the CEFS domain.The incumbent will ensure application stability, diagnose and resolve issues, and drive enhancements across a broad technology stack.

The position operates within a virtual, multinational team and requires collaboration with other BNPParibas locations and divisions.Candidates must demonstrate strong technical expertise, sharp analytical abilities, and meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents for Java applications in a production environment.
  • Write and maintain automation scripts (Shell/Python) for routine operational tasks.
  • Manage and tune Oracle/PL‑SQL databases supporting the applications.
  • Operate and support workloads running on Kubernetes clusters.
  • Schedule, monitor, and control batch workflows using AutoSys.
  • Participate in cloud‑based deployments and operations (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Leverage Dynatrace or comparable monitoring tools for performance analysis and alerting.
  • Apply basic DevOps practices, including version control with Git, to streamline release and configuration management.
  • 24×7 Shift Coverage – Work rotating shifts to provide continuous production support, including on call availability for weekdays, weekends, and, when required, ISPL holidays.
  • Disaster Recovery (DR) Readiness – Participate in activities that ensure all CEFS production applications are DR ready, including testing, documentation, and remediation of gaps.
  • Security Vulnerability Management – Assist in identifying, triaging, and resolving hardware, software, and application level security vulnerabilities to maintain a hardened production environment.

Specific Qualifications:

• Minimum 7 years of experience along with Bachelor's Degree 

• Prior experience in SRE/Application Production Support domain.
