Position Purpose

As an ATC Service Reliability Engineer, you will be part of this international team composed by more than 60 people, working for squads across several countries.

You will participate to the maintenance of test environments and ensure to keep under control the service level objectives.

To do so, you will contribute to monitor daily the availability of these test environments, to install on regular bases new versions of components on these environments and to build refresh plans to prepare the environments before a new test campaign.

 

Responsibilities

 

Direct Responsibilities

-          Keep under control the SLO (Service Level Objectives) on test environments:

·       Having an end-to-end view of all impacting operations of the perimeter (incidents, releases, changes, etc)

·       Anticipating the operations that could impact test environments

·       Reacting quickly in case of incident to coordinate the resolution with the proper teams

·       Communicating with business on incident resolution

 

-          Secure the tests environments upgrades 

·       Communicate to business the deployment time slot and the content of the delivery

·       Follow the deployment

·       Perform some qualification checks

·       Confirm to business once the deployment is completed 

 

-          Build & follow the implementation of the refresh plan

·       Identify all the tasks required in a refresh operation

·       Raise all the requests in the appropriate tools 

·       Communicate on the refresh process

·       Follow the implementation

 

 

 

-          Run script on test environments:

·       Ensure the script follows development rules

·       React quickly in case of incident

·       Solve the issue or coordinate the resolution with the proper team

 

 

Contributing Responsibilities

 

-          Maintenance of service level objectives:

·       Contribute to secure the availability, integrity and quality of the test platforms

·       Rebuilding the service in case of incidents, by mobilizing adequate resources if required

 

-          A DevOps culture at the service of innovation:

·       Working closely with development and production teams to be aware of planned changes and to anticipate their impacts on test environments

 

-          Monitor and alert:

·       Establishing the right level of monitoring and alerts

·       Contribute to update the support which allows to build KPI on test environments availability

 

 

Technical & Behavioural Competencies

As a Service Reliability Engineer, you have more than 2 years of experience in maintaining environments in contact with business users.

You are motivated by learning new technical and business activities in an international context. 

The rigor and your reactivity are part of your key strengths. 

Continuous improvement is part of your DNA. Your motivation drives you to share your experience with the other team members and actively participate in improving the test environments availability.

Technical context: Jenkins, JIRA, SQL Developer, ServiceNow
