YOUR JOB IN A NUTSHELL

Looking to take on a meaningful role where you can really make an impact? At BNP Paribas Fortis, our Operational Permanent Control (OPC) team helps the bank manage daily risks and keep our processes safe and efficient. Working closely with different teams, we spot potential issues, advise managers, and strengthen controls to prevent errors, fraud, and non-compliance. Join us and help build a safer bank for everyone.

AND IN DETAIL

A role with impact, variety, and meaningful collaboration.

Your Mission

As an ACMA (Activity Control Monitoring Analyst) in the financial security domain, you will:

  • Act as a key coordinator between different teams (mainly Compliance and Operational Permanent Control) to strengthen financial security processes.
  • Monitor regulatory changes (both internal and external) and assess their impact on operations.
  • Prioritise actions and support teams in applying the right controls, fostering a collaborative and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with internal teams and external stakeholders (such as auditors or regulators).

Your key responsibilities

  • Organise and manage priorities : build and maintain a dynamic action plan (roadmap) for Financial Security topics. Keep all relevant teams regularly informed on progress and priorities.
  • Be a trusted financial security expert : continuously develop your knowledge through self-learning and close collaboration with Compliance teams (LoD2 – "Second Line of Defence" focused on control and oversight). Provide guidance to colleagues in risk analysis and control implementation.
  • Support and guide teams : help prioritise risk topics across different teams. Ensure clear communication, alignment, and process improvements between OPC, business teams, and Compliance.
  • Advise and influence management. Deliver clear, proactive advice to OPC Management to support sound decision-making. Assess the quality of risk control activities and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Represent OPC in governance meetings : participate in internal steering committees and cross-department meetings to represent OPC and promote risk awareness.

What makes this role exciting?

You play a central role in protecting the bank and its clients from financial crime and regulatory breaches. You collaborate with diverse teams and build meaningful professional networks. You contribute to the continuous improvement of processes that make the bank safer and more efficient. You develop expertise in a key regulatory field with real impact on the organisation.

YOUR TALENTS AND COMPETENCES

  • Able to take on a dynamic, proactive role as a facilitator, working confidently with both internal teams and external partners.
  • Strong analytical and summarising abilities, with solid skills in processing and interpreting data.
  • Naturally able to identify links, patterns, and impacts across different activities and topics.
  • Comfortable with project-based work, coordination, and managing priorities in a structured way.
  • Genuine interest in, or existing knowledge of, the Financial Security domain is essential.
  • Familiarity with compliance, risk management, or process management, or a strong willingness to quickly build knowledge in these areas.
  • Excellent communication skills in Dutch, French, and English, both written and spoken, including the ability to present confidently to senior management.
  • Fully at ease with MS Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; specific training on OPC tools will be provided.

WHAT WE HAVE TO OFFER

OUR IMPACT

As a company, we implement concrete and sustainable solutions to reduce our environmental footprint, such as saving paper and resources, recycling our waste, encouraging the use of green transport, buildings that are designed and managed to limit our impact, etc.

YOUR CAREER PERSPECTIVES

The departments that make up BNP Paribas Fortis cover a wide range of activities. You will therefore have many opportunities for ‘horizontal’ and ‘vertical’ career development.

OUR OFFER

You will enjoy a permanent contract with an attractive salary package. You'll be working at our Brussels headquarters, just a short stroll from the railway station. We support your work-life balance by offering a mixture of in-person and remote work, among other things.
