The CIB IT Platform for EMEA is responsible to provide IT Services to our Clients ensuring a Digital Market evolution, in a secured and performant environment, and with a reliable quality. This function includes Global Markets Application Production, Local Territory IT Development, the Core Infrastructure environment including Datacentres, Application Production, Security, Architecture as well as elements of the Global Services organisation.
MADRID IT Platform
The CIB IT Platform for EMEA is responsible to provide IT Services to our Clients ensuring a Digital Market evolution, in a secured and performant environment, and with a reliable quality. This function includes Global Markets Application Production, Local Territory IT Development, the Core Infrastructure environment including Datacentres, Application Production, Security, Architecture as well as elements of the Global Services organisation.
• On Site Services: From 7:30 to 19:30 schedule to cover in weekly shifts of 8 working hours/day
• On Call Services: Out of regular schedule, we provide On Call services 24/7 to be covered in weekly shifts by team members.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Team Lead of the Spain Networks team you will be member of the EMEA Network Team of the BNP Paribas European campus network.
• Team Management reporting the Madrid head of Telecom and Data Center
• Responsible for a team of 7 Network engineers
• Responsible for regional office setup and ongoing support
• Responsible for overseas data centre or DR sites
• Perform the network planning, implementation, and optimization solution
• Responsible for Network infrastructure monitoring and troubleshooting
• Work closely with internal and external parties to implement project
• Responsible for the effective and efficient running of the BAU network.
• Experience collaborating with different teams based in different locations
REQUIREMENTS:
Training:
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• ITIL Foundation certificate will be desirable.
• Also desirable provider certifications. As a Cisco reference, minimum CCNP certification or equivalent skills.
Experience:
• Demonstrated deep working knowledge and project experience with advisor and design capabilities (HLD, LLD and NIP).
• Experience with network design in LAN & WAN.
• Solid security and in LAN & WAN networking knowledge with, at least, +10 years of real technical working experience focused in these areas.
• Networking Automation skills around network management
• Attention to detail and strong ability to detect and act on network issues and incidents quickly
• Be able to setup and maintain network devices in an efficient and secure manner
• Be able to monitor network regularly and act based on the Alerts received
• Self-motivated & pro-active network engineer
• Be able to check updates available for network devices, plan maintenance and update strategies
• Be able to identify needs, communicate, start projects and perform changes with minimal to zero supervision.
• Great at documenting projects & processes as well as micro-documentation of tasks being done in the team.
• Extensive knowledge & hands-on experience in LAN & WAN, 2-Tier & 3-Tier design
• Extensive knowledge & experience with all dynamic routing protocols, as well as MPLS, VPLS, VRF, IPsec
• Knowledge & experience of wireless RF design, troubleshooting and security.
• Scripting & automation skills, implementing IaC using Ansible, Puppet or terraform is needed.
• Hand-on experience of configuring and maintaining Cisco ISE or other NAC solutions
• CCIE Certified
• At least 10 years of experience as a network engineer
Languages:
• English: Fluent.
SKILLS:
Technical:
• Cisco DNA centre & Cisco Prime is not needed but a plus
• CCNP/CCIE Qualifications, having certification is a plus
• Ability to travel to other locations for installation and support might be required
• Juniper Certified is not needed but a plus
• Aruba Networks Certified is not needed but a plus
