Job Title: IT Certificate Manager (OPS Engineer)

Position Purpose
The BNP Paribas Fortis IT department is working in Agile mode, which offers a challenging and motivating environment where teams and employees are empowered to manage their own technical domain.
As a Certificate Manager (OPS Engineer) in our IT Production Security Tribe, you’ll ensure the integrity and availability of digital certificates across BNP Paribas’s systems. Your work is vital to maintaining secure communication, compliance, and operational continuity in a dynamic Agile environment.
· Safeguard critical infrastructure by managing certificate lifecycles (validation, revocation, bulk operations).
· Bridge technical and functional teams, translating complex requirements into actionable solutions.
· Contribute to a global security culture in a bank trusted by millions worldwide.
Direct Responsibilities
As a Certificate Manager, you will be responsible for a set of activities and day-to-day operations like:
· Daily Update Portunus dashboard via SQL command in PROD
· Validation of certificate requests
o Check architecture documents (OPAD, DTD and flow ID)
o Check all parameters (AUID, AppCode, Environment, CName)
· Manage errors via
o Logs analysis
o Restart process in case of failure in Portunus
o 3rd party (Certis)
o SQL command (primarily for consultation)
· Perform bulk requests: mass creation/validation of requests
· Manage certificate revocation/suspension
· Get confirmation from contacts (via mail/teams)
· Portunus health check management
· Communication of encountered errors
· Fill in User Story fields (description/Acceptance criteria) for new Portunus features (development)
· Check functional mailbox and reply to Portunus requests
· Update requester/technician and functional mailbox in Portunus in case of
o update requests
o team changed functional mailbox
o leavers / newcomers
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
Mandatory
· Proficient in speaking and writing English
· At least 2 years of experience in Security Management
· Proven experience in the field of Information Technology
· Proven experience in the field of Information Security
· Proven experience in engineering and supporting solutions for most of the following:
o Telecommunication protocols such as TLS/SSL
o Public Key Infrastructure (Internal and Internet)
o Digital Certificate Management
o Cryptography concepts
o SQL
Nice-to-Have
· Experience with Linux and Unix (As user)
· Experience in Agile way of working
