About Business line/Function :

ALMT (Asset and Liability Management Treasury) is a Transversal Activity, present throughout the Group, which manages the liquidity, interest rate and foreign exchange risks of the Bank's balance sheet, including its implementation on financial markets.

ALMT-IT caters to IT demands of ALMT functions within the bank. 

Within ALMT IT Perimeter, WARM ( Risk Management) applications caters to the generation, management, monitoring and reporting of Interest rate exposure, credit risk & liquidity risk of ALMT perimeter mainly used by the ALM Management and by Market Risk operators, Developer will be part of core IT team in the bank which take cares of above application development/enhancement and L3 support activities globally.

Position Purpose

To contribute as a programmer on application development, enhancements, maintenance and support activities for multiple applications across all SDLC phases.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

·         Design and develop procedural programming solutions when the solutions demand so

·         Should be able to write queries using complex joins, filter criteria, type cast when required

·         Design and develop SQL queries for the interfacing solutions required

·         Write Database code using the best practices whenever possible and help in tuning and refactoring legacy database code

·         Carry out SQL tuning whenever required to ensure the queries are performing optimally

·         Should be able to debug issues in SQL queries or any of the database constructs

·         Should carry out detailed unit testing based on the scenarios provided.

·         Should perform database designing

·         Should be comfortable to work using Database development tools

·         Should create technical documentation such as the entity relationship diagrams, unit-testing documentation and technical design specifications for the deliverables.

·         Should be able to code using various procedural constructs such as Packages, Procedures, Functions etc. 

·         Should be able to work on the basic Unix shell scripting commands required for accessing the various project components deployed on server or while launching the interfaces or for any adhoc scripting required to process the output.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

Mandatory Technical Skills: 

·         Strong knowledge on Sybase ASE/ IQ Database SQL writing and procedural programming ( PL-SQL & T-SQL)

·         Good Understanding on CI/CD Pipeline

·         Strong knowledge of version control tools, preferably Bitbucket / SVN

·         Good knowledge on middleware messaging platforms like IBM WebSphere MQ, JMS, etc. 

·         Basic Knowledge on Linux/Unix environment (basic commands, shell scripting, etc.)

·         Ability & willingness to learn & work on diverse technologies (languages, frameworks, and tools) 

·         Thorough understanding of complete Software Development Lifecycle

·         Experience in technical analysis and database designing.
