Your daily responsibilities:
As an Investment Management associate H/F your role will be to assist with the deployment and management of the AXA IM Natural Capital Fund (currently $500m) and any side vehicle supporting the Natural Capital strategy of AXA IM Alts.
- Pipeline screening and macro environment monitoring
- Carry initial screen and pre-assessment of pipeline deals to help prioritising opportunities
- Gather all relevant macro trends underlying project environment, incl. but not limited to:
- Carbon pricing trends and projections, including third-party market data providers and privileged internal/investee information,
- Methodology updates,
- Public policy announcements (e.g. compliance markets, taxes, supra-national initiatives),
- Transactions rumoured, announced or executed,
- Global competitive environment of the AXA IM Natural Capital Fund (fund launches, transactions, LP commitments or targets)...
- Deal Execution
- Carry financial modelling and sensitivity analyses alongside Investment Managers of the Natural Capital team.
- Present sections and analyses carried on selected deals to the Investment Committee.
- Work with existing strategic equity partners to continue feeding project sourcing through existing relationships.
- Risk and valuations
- Coordinate investment team’s input for periodic valuations and reporting and liaise with relevant support teams to combine and validate relevant data points and conclusions.
- Coordinate the monitoring and reporting on the financial performance and risk profile of existing portfolio investments, interfacing with internal Risk teams and other support functions.
- External & Internal Stakeholder Management
- Interface with third party service providers where necessary relating to due diligence and deal execution, with the support of Investment Managers.
- Gather relevant data (business plans, financial reports, ESG and impact monitoring) supporting performance assessment on both financial and non-financial KPIs.
- Liaise with all internal stakeholders including management, risk, compliance, legal, operations, audit and build effective working relationships and processes to ensure efficient execution.

Are you our next Investment Management Associate – Natural Capital H/F ?
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial services and relevant University degree.
- Experience in financial modelling and assessment of investment/portfolio opportunities across an array of private market assets.
- Experience at building and/or improving sophisticated financial models and valuation techniques.
- Strong interest and will to develop knowledge in the Natural Capital and Impact Investing sector.
- Entrepreneurial attitude, highly motivated individual with potential for building autonomy and the ability to bring new ideas to the investment and monitoring process.
- Ability to work well alongside team members in a fast-paced team environment, including with colleagues and counterparties based in different regional offices.
- Previous diverse international exposure across a variety of counterparties is preferable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills supporting robust written and oral presentations.
- Highly numerical and analytical.
