This position will be based in Zurich, Switzerland.

YOUR TEAM

  • We are a high performing group of private banking relationship managers based in our Zurich office. The team is made up of a selective number of highly efficient professionals who have built long standing, deep and trusted relationships across the Swiss market and who are recognised as experts in wealth management, local regulations and client centric solutions with a proven track record.
  • Each member brings extensive knowledge of the Swiss private banking landscape - from family office dynamics to the needs of expatriate entrepreneurs and local high net worth clients alike.
  • While we deliver strong results for our clients, we are equally committed to developing junior talent. Your senior colleagues will actively coach you, involve you in client meetings and give you ownership of projects that accelerate your professional profile.
  • We work closely together, sharing insights and best practices daily, so you will always have a sounding board and a mentor to turn to.

YOUR WORKDAY

The Junior Relationship Manager will be a key driver in expanding BNPParibas’ on shore Private Banking franchise in Switzerland. Working under the guidance of Senior Relationship Managers and together with the broader Wealth Management teams, you will design and execute a systematic client acquisition program that leverages dynamics, the evolving needs of high net worth individuals, families and family offices and the full spectrum of BNPParibas’ wealth management solutions.

Marketing & Sales

  • Build and nurture a pipeline of qualified prospects, increasing the bank’s market share within the Swiss domestic market.
  • Conceive and execute a targeted marketing strategy that deepens existing client relationships while attracting new business opportunities.
  • Tailor a comprehensive sales and marketing plan for each prospect, aligning solutions with their individual objectives.
  • Proactively address client needs through regular outreach (phone, email, meetings), continuously reviewing action plans and tracking new business performance against revenue and net new client (NNC) targets.
  • Collaborate with specialists across the Group’s divisions to enrich the client experience and deliver coordinated, holistic advice.
  • Analyse client portfolios against preset objectives, acting as a trusted financial advisor by presenting diversified strategies that leverage the full suite of BNP Paribas Wealth Management products and services.
  • Identify cross selling opportunities across the Bank’s offerings (e.g., Investment Banking, Asset Management) and present relevant solutions.
  • Ensure all client engagements comply with the Bank’s suitability and regulatory standards.
  • Facilitate the onboarding of new accounts, verifying that all required documentation and compliance checks are completed accurately and promptly.

Profitability

  • Participate in the annual target setting process, helping to define realistic and ambitious financial goals.
  • Oversee the management of asset, revenue, and expense budgets for the portfolio, ensuring that performance aligns with established targets.
  • Maintain and deepen client relationships, anticipating needs and delivering proactive solutions that support clients’ financial objectives while enhancing profitability.

Service Excellence

  • Preserve high levels of client satisfaction through attentive, responsive service and regular follow up.
  • Detect and promptly communicate any client concerns or issues to senior management, facilitating swift resolution.
  • Provide constructive, actionable feedback to product, service, and operational teams to drive continuous improvement.
  • Foster open, collaborative communication channels with all business and support functions across the Bank, ensuring seamless service delivery and alignment with strategic priorities.

Team & Senior-RM Support

  • Assist senior relationship managers in preparing client presentations, investment proposals and market analyses, ensuring high quality deliverables and timely delivery.
  • Support the onboarding process by gathering required documentation, conducting initial client data entry and liaising with compliance, thereby easing the workload of senior relationship managers.
  • Contribute to team initiatives such as internal knowledge sharing sessions, best practice documentation and the coordination of cross functional projects, helping the whole relationship management team operate efficiently and cohesively.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Recent graduate or early career professional with a strong academic background in finance, economics, business administration or a related field and a genuine interest in banking and specifically wealth management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, able to build rapport with high net worth individuals and collaborate smoothly with internal specialists across different product and services lines.
  • Proactive, results driven mindset with a high level of integrity and a commitment to BNP Paribas’ values of diversity, equity, inclusion and ethical conduct.

YOUR SKILLS

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills to assess client needs and in particular their portfolios, perform basic financial modeling, and support the development of tailored investment strategies.
  • Solid understanding of banking and wealth management products (investment, credit, asset management) and the ability to articulate their benefits in a client centric manner.
  • Proven organizational and time management capabilities, including the ability to design and execute marketing & sales plans, manage a pipeline of prospects, and meet revenue/asset growth targets while maintaining compliance with suitability standards.
  • Fluency in German and English, French as a plus
