Job Title: Associate– Rates MO 

Department: Markets Operations (FXMM‑OTCD)


About Business line/Function:
The FXMMOTC business line drives the origination, execution and post‑trade processing of all over‑the‑counter foreign‑exchange and money‑market transactions across the bank’s global client base. It delivers end‑to‑end trade lifecycle services—including confirmation, collateral management, DVP settlement and exception handling—while adhering to the highest standards of risk control, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. Leveraging a unified technology platform and a worldwide network of clearing partners, the team ensures seamless, timely and secure settlement outcomes that underpin BNPParibass liquidity and pricing capabilities in the FX‑MM markets.
 

Position Purpose: 

Trade Support is in charge of the proper representation of trades within booking systems at any time of their lifecycle

  • Controls and/or processes trade capture in FO/MO/BO systems
  • Monitors and processes trade events
  • Investigates trade feeds, confirmations and payments in case of requests raised by other Operation teams

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

  • Ensure that Rates Derivatives trades booking are in line with external source (termsheets from Front office) and rectify discrepancies on the same day
  • Monitor and process option exercises and special events
  • Post amendments, market events and cancellations
  • Resolve queries from different operations and other stakeholders
  • Assist Front Office in ad-hoc rebooking requests and update in Middle Office systems.
  • Comply with internal and external regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Ensure all controls are in place and reconciliations front-to-back are investigated and reconciled:

i.     Emails from Back offices, Middle offices and IT are investigated

ii.    Emails from Credit Risk control are investigated

iii.   Abnormal Trading are investigated and accounted

iv.    Ensuring trades are booked timely and accurately on trade date

v.     Account for missing booking and escalate when necessary

vi.    Checking of daily reports

vii.   Coordinate compressions & clearing activities

  • Contribute to the Permanent Control framework.

 

Technical & Behavioral Competencies
 

  • Basic knowledge in Interest Rates Derivatives products (IRS, CCS, FRA, Swaption, Bond options, Futures etc) 
  • Familiar with Middle Office Support functions
  • Murex knowledge preferred

  • Possess great team spirit 
  • Confident and possess good communication and interpersonal skills

Specific Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years in operations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
