Key Responsabilités

1. Storage Array Installation, Configuration & Upgrades

• Block Storage (Pure/Dell):
  • Perform end-to-end installation, configuration, and firmware upgrades of Pure Storage FlashArray and Dell PowerStore/PowerMax systems.
  • Manage OS upgrades (Purity OS, PowerStoreOS) with zero-downtime considerations for 24/7 trading environments.
  • Configure FC and iSCSI, connectivity, including zoning, WWPN/WWNN management, and multipathing (e.g., Dell EMC PowerPath, Pure’s ActiveCluster).
  • Deploy and troubleshoot replication (Pure’s ActiveDR, Dell’s SRDF, SnapMirror) for disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity.
• Object Storage (S3-Compatible):
  • Install, upgrade, and patch IBM Cleversafe (now IBM Cloud Object Storage), Dell ECS, and Pure FlashBlade clusters.
  • Manage FW version of arrays (e.g., ECS’s OS, FlashBlade’s Purity//FB).
  • Configure erasure coding, geo-distribution, and multi-site replication for high durability (e.g., ECS’s 14+2 erasure coding, FlashBlade’s RAID-TEC).

2. Troubleshooting & Performance Optimization

• Block Storage :
  • Diagnose and resolve latency, IOPS, or throughput bottlenecks in Pure/Dell arrays using Pure1, Dell CloudIQ, or array-native CLI tools (e.g., purearray, symcli).
  • Troubleshoot host connectivity issues (e.g., HBA failures, SAN fabric congestion, multipathing misconfigurations).
  • Analyze storage-related performance degradations in trading databases (e.g., Kafka, Oracle Exadata, MongoDB) and recommend fixes (e.g., volume QoS adjustments, tiering policies).
• Object Storage :
  • Investigate and resolve S3 API timeouts, slow PUT/GET operations, or 5xx errors in Cleversafe/ECS/FlashBlade.
  • Debug cluster health issues (e.g., ECS’s "degraded ring" states, FlashBlade’s blade failures).
  • Optimize large-scale data ingest/egress (e.g., market data feeds, risk modeling outputs) by tuning parallelism, chunk sizes, and network buffers.
  • Fix authentication/authorization failures (e.g., S3 signature mismatches, IAM misconfigurations).

3. Observability & Monitoring (ICINGA + Array-Native Tools)

• Develop and maintain ICINGA checks for:
  • Block storage: Array health, latency thresholds, replication lag, and predictive failure alerts (e.g., Pure’s Drive Predictive Failure, Dell’s Secure Remote Services).
  • Object storage: Node status, erasure coding rebuilds, S3 API availability, and capacity thresholds.
• Integrate array-native monitoring (e.g., Pure1, ECS Portal, FlashBlade GUI) with ICINGA/Grafana for unified dashboards.
• Set up automated alerts for critical storage events (e.g., controller failover, disk failures, S3 bucket misconfigurations).

Contributing Responsibilities

• DEVOPS oriented: High development skills Scripting on Python / Bash / PowerShell, code versioning tools and CD/CI
