Corporate & Institutional Banking – Who we are:
BNP Paribas Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) is engaged with a broad client base ranging from Large Multinational and Mid-sized Corporates, institutional investors as well as financial services providers (Institutionals). The division is, among others, a leading provider of investment banking, debt capital markets and sustainable financing services.
The Strategic Clients Team team manages the relationship to large corporates listed on the main equity indices (e.g. DAX) or some of the largest privately owned companies. Clients benefit from our comprehensive suite of products on a global scale, including advisory, financing, risk management and treasury solutions.
As an analyst, you assume key responsibilities for three dimensions crucial to our success: commercial coverage activities, credit analysis and regulatory topics. On the commercial side, you will support Bankers in the preparation and follow- up of strategic business reviews and contribute to the development of the client relationship and profitability. By covering a large range of topics, the Analyst will develop highly valued skills on all dimensions of work with demanding international clients.

Tasks & Responsibilities: What awaits you
- Supporting Senior Bankers and Relationship Managers in managing existing client relationships and leveraging our wide‑ranging product offering to uncover new business opportunities.
- Assisting various product groups (Investment Banking, Debt Capital Markets, Global Markets, etc.) in preparing financial, industry, and comparable‑transaction analyses for customised client presentations and pitches.
- Conducting strategic business reviews and client updates; preparing and contributing to client meetings and métier calls.
- Preparing concise and detailed credit analyses and leading the subsequent internal credit‑approval process for complex client transactions and annual reviews.
- Staying up‑to‑date with market and industry trends; evaluating public filings, research reports, financial projections, and business plans to produce strategic and financial analyses.
- Interacting with our global network of product experts and local contributors to coordinate the execution of new deals.
- Ensuring the accuracy of reporting tools and databases for revenues, deals, and risk metrics.
- Managing internal processes, including budgeting, KYC, fund flows, and the booking of credit facilities.
- Ensuring consistent and comprehensive enforcement of BNP Paribas CSR policies and procedures.
Expertise & Soft Skills: What you offer
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or comparable academic education with advanced knowledge of financial analysis
- Prior experience (internships, trainee-program) in Corporate- or Investment banking
- Ability to define and analyze risk levels of companies and transactions
- Work transversally across the organization and maintain high standards of professionalism in all dealings with team members and external clients
- Detail oriented, highly organized, ability to express ideas concisely and a proactive approach to work
- Team player - deal firmly but tactfully with other business areas
- Knowledge of risks and their major processes or regulatory frameworks
- Willing and able to improve detailed knowledge of product range
- Full professional fluency in German and English (C1 Level required)
