What is this position about?

As an MyAdvisory Investment Advisor you will contribute to the development and delivery of BNP Paribas Wealth Management’s MyAdvisory value-propositions, active servicing of clients in a portfolio advisory capacity, as well as internal and external sales efforts to commercialize value propositions of MyAdvisory.

What would be your typical day at BNPP Paribas look like? 


Primary Role Responsibilities

    Contribute to timely and quality delivery of MyAdvisory’s “1-to-many” advisory & client servicing efforts.  Support maintenance and development of infrastructure owned by business as well as bank tools, for quick time to market and pivot to meet client needs. 

    Deliver quality, holistic portfolio advisory services to MyAdvisory clients which include timely investment advice, asset allocation proposals, portfolio reviews, alerts etc. across asset classes with proper suitability and risk management considerations to RMs/ICs/clients.  Partner closely with RMs/ICs and specialists across product desks to ensure quality and seamless advisory services.

    Actively engage RMs/ICs to identify business opportunities to increase MyAdvisory AUM in Asia. Provide comprehensive sales proposals with service and fee angles in consideration of client profile, and deliver sales pitch in client meetings.  Management of sales pipeline.

    Product shelf management support to ensure optimal service delivery across tools (BeAdvised, MyAdvisory tool, Adobe, AA grids, Model Portfolios, IT issues/resolutions, fees management, documentation, SharePoint, etc.) with front to back ownership.  Business management support (weekly & monthly business reports, ad hoc management reports).

    Collaboration with team and engaging key stakeholders in FO/functions/GAIM to ensure a globally consistent, value adding service offering

  • Advising on Securities
  • Advising on Forex (non-leveraged and leveraged)
  • Advising on Structured deposits
  • Marketing Collective Investment Scheme
  • Client suitability
  • Client selling process
  • Cross border rules
  • Marketing documentation

    Ensure all investment activities are done accurately and fairly handled and in accordance to regulations & Management policies.

    Ensure deals & trade transactions are done accurately and fairly handled and in accordance to regulations & Management policies where aware

    Inform and Escalate issues to Management regarding irregularities in all investment activity, including trading and incidents

    Maintain proper audit trails


What is required for you to succeed?


Essential Technical Knowledge/Skills:

- Financial market knowledge and product expertise (multi asset class and good market awareness)

- Principles of portfolio management, portfolio diversification, asset allocation and risk management

- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and Microsoft Powerpoint

- Proficient in coding (VBA), manipulating large dataset (SQL)

- Knowledge of, and compliance with, regulatory requirements

- Keen to find and implement solutions analytically with technical skill

- Experience in a client facing investment advisor role preferred

- Degree in a quantitative discipline preferred
