About the job

  • The core responsibilities of the Stress Testing Analyst role within Management and Supervisor Information (MSI) include supporting stress testing efforts covering classical market risk Profit and Loss (P&L) stress testing, counterparty credit exposure under stress, and stressed risk weighted assets/capital measures. The scope is both cross-asset and cross-regions offering exposure to derivatives and counterparties trading equities, commodities, rates, FX, and credit products. Readership includes BNPP Group Board level, ratings agencies and banking supervisors so attention to detail and deadlines are vital

 

Your Main Activities Are

  • Animating stress test production, engaging with IT teams, and coordinating with other RISK teams on Group-wide exercises
  • Assisting the wider MI team’s production of management information packs and dashboards covering both market and counterpart risks
  • Contributing to the governance framework by promoting good practice across topics and authoring documentation of processes/procedures
  • Perform analysis of stress testing results and compose commentary for management information with clearly written analysis and structured presentation of metrics

 

Profile and Skills to Success

  • Master’s Degree in Finance / Mathematics / Statistics / Engineering or related           
  • Up to 2 years of experience in Risk and Controls or similar
  • Advanced level of English, both written and oral
  • Knowledge in MS Excel / Finance and Derivatives / Financial Analysis / Python (preferential)
  • Attention to detail / rigour
  • Ability to collaborate / teamwork
  • Analytical ability
  • Proactivity 

 

About the Team

  • The role of MSI team provides senior management, supervisors, rating agencies and other stakeholders with a consolidated, independent view of market, liquidity, and counterparty risks. Perimeters covered by the MSI team include BNP Paribas’ Global Markets, Securities Services, Asset Liability Management (ALM) Treasury, Asset Management, and Wealth Management. The role involves collaborating with technical experts and will learn to synthesise complex technical data into strategic reporting and be presented to the Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) senior management, the Group Chief Risk Officer (CRO) or even the European Central Bank (ECB) to name a few consumers of MSI’s product
