Assistant – FX Trader MFOS Trading Desk (M/F) - CDI

WHAT’S YOUR DAY-TO-DAY MISSION?

·         Assist Sales-Traders in processing transactions and ensure the "4 eyes" principle in the preparation, administrative processing and follow-up of orders processed by the FX trading desk. 

·         Help to process orders under the best conditions of quality, reliability and deadlines while respecting internal control rules and procedures within BNP and MFOS.

• Segregation of tasks in accordance with internal control rules

• Careful reconciliation of all operations and traceability of operations

• Verification and validation of transactions according to the "4 eyes" principle

• Quality of execution of transactions for customers and counterparties

• Possibility of self-employment within the limit of a defined mandate

Your working environment 

Your internship will be within the Managed FX and Overlay Solutions (MFOS) department, in the FOREX trading room of BNP Paribas S.A. Luxembourg. 

Managed FX and Overlay Solutions (MFOS) objective is to offer BNP’s custody customers specific answers to their needs in managing market, credit and liquidity risks. The main services offered by MFOS Luxembourg are services relating to the FOREX (Foreign exchange) market, and Passive Currency Overlay. MFOS thus offers its clients foreign exchange products (spot, foreign exchange swap and forwards), and PCO.

You will be working alongside the FX Trading team under the supervision of the Head of Trading Desk.

He will be working with the team in charge of the FX Trading Desk The candidate will demonstrate technical knowledge and critical thinking in a dynamic and fast paced environment. He will be trained on the FX Trading activity, discovering the fund industry, while learning about our business, positioned at the heart of market finance. He will also focus on building communication skills to service clients and answer their queries.

YOUR PROFILE 

Professional experience and/or degree

·         Bac +5 student from an Engineering school or University (preferably with a Market Finance specialization)

Behavioural skills 

·         Strong analytical and synthesis skills

·         Excellent written and verbal communication

·         Self-sufficient

·         Decision-making

·         Proactive

·         Results-oriented and client-focused

·         Macro development (VBA)

·         Working in collaboration with other teams (PCO, Middle Office…)

Technical skills

• Securities & Financial Products businesses (Forex, Money Market, Dealing Services)

·         Understanding of risks (market, credit, liquidity and operational)

·         Administrative processing of market transactions and understanding of the accounting treatment of market transactions

·         Fluent in French and English. Any other language will be considered a plus.

·         Advanced level in Excel and VBA.

·         Confident and able to deal with senior managers & cross-cultural teams

·         Ability and agility to work under pressure

Language skills

• Fluent in French & English
