Job Title: Associate – Matching & Chasing team

DepartmentMarkets Operations (FXMM-OTCD)

Business line/Function: The FX MM OTC business line drives the origination, execution and post-trade processing of all over-the-counter foreign-exchange and money-market transactions across the bank’s global client base. It delivers end-to-end trade lifecycle services—including confirmation, collateral management, DVP settlement and exception handling—while adhering to the highest standards of risk control, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. Leveraging a unified technology platform and a worldwide network of clearing partners, the team ensures seamless, timely and secure settlement outcomes that underpin BNP Paribas’s liquidity and pricing capabilities in the FX-MM market

Location: Mumbai

 

Position Purpose: 

The officer will be a part of the Chasing and Matching team for IRS, CDS and Equity derivatives

 

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

  • * Chasing and Matching Team:

    * The Chasing team is responsible for ensuring that all BNP Paribas confirmations are

    * retrieved from clients executed for Interbank and Corporate Clients. The team covers a wide range of products traded by the Trading desks such as Vanilla products and the more complex Structured trades. The Chasing team is also responsible in resolving any Litigation that clients may raise upon receipt of the BNP Confirmation.

    * This will involve investigating the issue and liaising with internal teams such as FO, Trade Support, Drafting team, Local back Office, Legal depending on the type of Litigation raised until resolution.

     

    1. Minimize operational failure, including but not exclusively the risk of fraud by helping to devise and by implementing sufficient regular controls

    2. Ensure appropriate escalation to management as soon as an issue is identified.

    3. Ensure that documentation controls are done daily, comments detailed clearly, and be responsible for reliability of records

    4. Ensure set KPIs are met

    5. Ability to follow procedure and understanding of OTC Markets

    6. Client centricity

Contributing Responsibilities

  • * Continuous Control & Improvement:

    a. To closely monitor the trade volumes and outstanding confirmations and escalate issues/concerns to the line managers

    b. Contribute to the Permanent Control framework

    * Projects

    a. Participate to global projects related to any Documentation processes improvements.

    b. Active follow up on updating procedures of Documentation processes.

Specific Qualifications:

  • * Minimum of 2 years’ experience.

    * Fluent in English (both oral and written communication)

    * Bachelor’s or master’s Degree on Economics, Mathematics or Finance.
