Position Purpose:
The cybersecurity project manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and steering international projects related to information systems security.
Several areas of responsibility are managed within the team to ensure data protection, the integrity of IT infrastructures, and the compliance of security measures with regulatory and normative requirements.
Acting as an interface between management, technical teams, external partners, and internal stakeholders, the cybersecurity project manager relies on experts from various teams to implement appropriate solutions to prevent, detect, and respond to cyber threats and/or remediate them. This role requires an understanding of security challenges, the foresight needed to achieve objectives, and strong organizational discipline to comply with the methodology and governance applicable to projects.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
• Project management: Define the objectives of cybersecurity projects, develop action plans, estimate the necessary resources (human, material, financial), and measure and supervise the progress of the work.
• Risk analysis: Identify, assess, and prioritize risks. Propose mitigation measures and ensure their follow-up.
• Compliance implementation: Ensure the alignment of security policies and procedures, as well as their global deployment.
• Documentation drafting: Develop policies, procedures, and reports related to the organization’s security.
• Stakeholder management: Communicate effectively with management, technical teams, and external partners to ensure project success.
• Prepare all the elements required to ensure a sustainable transition of the project to BAU (Business As Usual).
Contributing Responsibilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects.
• Professional English: Strong command of English, both spoken and written.
• Mastery of cybersecurity fundamentals: Knowledge of defense-in-depth principles, security tools (firewalls, antivirus, IDS/IPS, SIEM, etc.), and standards (ISO 27001, ISO 22301, etc.).
• Project management: Ability to use traditional methods (waterfall, PMP), build schedules, manage budgets/resources, and lead cross-functional teams.
• Risk analysis: Ability to conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate treatment plans.
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
• Understanding of architecture, operating systems, security solutions, etc. This depends on the type of project and its objectives.
• Writing and interpersonal skills: Ability to produce clear and accurate documentation and communicate easily with different stakeholders.
• Ability to simplify cybersecurity issues for non-technical audiences.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office / PowerBI skills appreciated
Specific Qualifications:
• Master’s degree (5-year higher education) in IT, cybersecurity, or equivalent (university or engineering school).
• Proven experience in Production (minimum 5 years).
• Proven experience in managing security projects (minimum 3 years).
• Preferred certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, etc.
• Excellent organizational, autonomous, and leadership skills.
• Analytical mindset, rigor, and a strong sense of confidentiality.
