Business line / Function description
The IT Payment Services line is the global hub for payments and cash‑management solutions across the BNP Paribas Group. It delivers high‑throughput, highly secure applications that process billions of transactions each year. The team works in an Agile, DevOps‑centric environment and collaborates closely with product owners, compliance, and operations to keep the platform reliable, compliant, and innovative.

Position purpose
Provide end‑to‑end application support and Linux infrastructure operations, leveraging DevOps practices (Ansible, CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, ELK monitoring) to ensure reliable, scalable services while driving continuous improvement and business efficiency.

Responsibilities

Direct responsibilities

·        Support application enhancement activities to improve overall system performance and functionality.

·        Implement technical changes in the application to drive business growth and efficiency.

·        Leverage DevOps tools and best practices to streamline technical workflows, automate processes, and enhance overall system reliability and scalability.

·        Drive technical coordination and support continuous improvement initiatives across the team.

·        Provide technical guidance and operational support to ensure seamless service delivery.

·        Ensure delivery timelines are met while maintaining high quality and compliance standards.

 

Technical & Behavioral competencies

·        5-6 years of professional working experience in Devops practice and Linux operations, hands-on experience in application support, monitoring and operational enhancements.

·        DevOps Practice – git lab CI/CD, container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), Ansible and other DevOps collaboration platform & Linux.

·        Hands-on experience in Infrastructure as service IaC, Kubernetes as service KaaS

·        Internet & Intranet architecture – Understanding about Load balancer, Nginx, Proxy, SSL certificates

·        Working knowledge of ELK Stack (open-source centralized logging and observability platform)

·        Hands-on experience with infrastructure and monitoring provisioning tools

·        Application monitoring and troubleshooting skills

·        Proficiency in log monitoring, dashboard creation, and alert setup

·        Proficient in analytical skills 

·        Excellent oral and writing communication skills 

 

Specific qualifications

·        5 - 6 years of experience along with Bachelor's Degree - in IT, Computer related field or equivalent experience.

 

Skills Referential (Required knowledge, skills and abilities)

Other Skills:

-          Agile methodology exposure

-          Knowledge of banking products is a nice to have

-          Proactive mindset

Education Level: Bachelor Degree in IT or Computer Science or equivalent
