Job Title: FXMM OTC Derivatives/Bonds (Settlements)

Department: Markets Operations ( FXMM-OTCD)

About Business line/Function: The FX MM OTC business line drives the origination, execution and post-trade processing of all over-the-counter foreign-exchange and money-market transactions across the bank’s global client base. It delivers end-to-end trade lifecycle services—including confirmation, collateral management, DVP settlement and exception handling—while adhering to the highest standards of risk control, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. Leveraging a unified technology platform and a worldwide network of clearing partners, the team ensures seamless, timely and secure settlement outcomes that underpin BNP Paribas’s liquidity and pricing capabilities in the FX-MM markets.

Position Purpose: The FXMM Derivative Back Office is responsible for the day-to-day settlement for Derivative products, Fixed Income products and Money Market. The team operates in close collaboration with marketers, sales, and other internal function teams (APAC & EMEA) to offer client-first post-trade services. Team members are generally assigned to two or three Markets.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced FXMM & OTC Derivatives/Bonds Associate to join our BNP Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for 100% BAU working day-to-day operations of our Settlements business.

Practical knowledge and thorough understanding of various types of financial instruments (equities, bonds, ETD/OTC derivatives, corporate actions) are required.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

• To process payments for Value date and Value date -1, ensure all payments are cleared.

• To create manual payments from SWIFT Alliance, have knowledge about MT103, MT202 Payment, and MTMX Messages.

• Ensure that all Corporate/Inter-bank trades are processed and approved in a timely manner.

• Cash Settlement with onshore/offshore clients.

• Cash management related to funding trades.

• Perform EOD reconciliations.

• Troubleshoot potential operational problems and resolve issues.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.

• Ensuring all trades are instructed, matched & settled on a timely basis.

• Monitoring of failing trades & updating system with details of reason for fails, reducing fails and/or potential fails by means of pairing off or offering partial for deliveries

• Liaising with clients, brokers / counterparties, and other internal support functions for smooth settlement of trades

Contributing Responsibilities

• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives (process automation, control enhancements).

• Support onboarding and knowledge‑transfer within team.

• Proficiency with AT2, SWIFT messaging (MT103/MT202/MTMX) and settlement platforms.

Specific Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or related field.

* Minimum 4 years in operations; at least 2 years in FXMM & OTC‑Derivatives.

* Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and risk management principles

* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

* Fair knowledge of Fixed Income/Repo/Securities Lending,FXMM and OTC derivatives products & processes.
