Job Title: Associate – Credit Risk Analyst
Location: 787 Seventh Avenue, New York, NY 10019
Duties: Perform credit analysis of large asset managers and new clients. Prepare annual credit reviews, including comprehensive analysis of counterparty comparison. Analyze capital market and corporate banking transactions with regulated funds and agency principals. Set credit limits and risk guidelines relating covered asset manager portfolio. Review live trade transactions and make recommendations to RISK for approval. Negotiate legal trading agreements relating to relevant credit provisions. Conduct client facing due diligence calls during the onboarding and review phase. Interface with senior bankers and trading desks on various credit requests. Resolve limit breach excesses to accommodate additional business. *Telecommuting permitted 50%: work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the BNP Paribas RCC Inc. office in New York, NY.
SALARY: $135,000 - $170,000 / year
Work Schedule: 9am to 5pm, 40 hours a week. (Monday – Friday)
Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or Foreign Equivalent) in Finance, Economics, or related field and three (3) years of experience in a job offered or related role OR Master's degree (U.S. or Foreign Equivalent) in Finance, Economics, or related field and one (1) year of experience in a job offered or related role. Must have three (3) years of experience (or 1 year with Master’s) with the following: capital markets or credit risk analysis; stress testing methodologies (and initial margin approach for complex trades); Excel (building models, formulas and VBA)/risk system; and capital market product/trading agreement key terms. Must have one (1) year of experience with the following: identifying risk factors for mutual and hedge funds for the risk rating; consolidating various live trade details for management approval via concise recommendation; composing and writing credit analysis on asset managers and hedge funds; and interfacing with senior bankers and trading desks on various credit requests.
