Temporary Head of Compliance Leasing Solutions Nordics

 

We are looking for a Compliance Officer to replace the Head of Compliance Nordics Leasing Solutions for a 12 month period (maternity leave).

Start date expected to be early July at the latest to allow for a minimum 1 month handover with the current Head of Compliance Nordics.

    Nordics is a cluster, encompassing 3 countries: Norway, Sweden and Denmark. The cluster’s headquarters are in Oslo (Norway).

The Nordics Head of Compliance is in charge of providing reasonable assurance to the Global Head of Leasing Solutions Compliance, the CEO of Leasing Solutions Nordics and its governance bodies and regulators that policies and procedures are up-to-date, and an adequate compliance framework is in place consistent with BNPP Group Compliance requirements and in line with applicable laws and regulations.

Role:

  • Ensuring that the activities of Leasing Solutions Nordics and its employees comply with applicable local and Group requirements on money laundering / terrorist financing & sanctions, as well as with Protection of Client Interest and Professional Ethics ..)
  • Maintaining the tone of a strong Compliance culture within Leasing Solutions Nordics, in line with the following principles:
  • Independence, integration and distribution of responsibilities
  • Expert-based allocation of tasks 
  • Accountability: Compliance is everyone's duty
  • Dialogue: Compliance as a Business partner
  • Escalation rights and duty to raise alerts 
  • Being the preferred point of contact with the CEO of Leasing Solutions Nordics and working in close cooperation with other internal stakeholders to ensure consistency of decisions and operating models relative to the local compliance framework.

Expert activities:

  • Manage the Compliance governance in the Nordics within the framework of the standards set by Corporate Compliance 
  • Be responsible for the implementation of the Compliance framework and the requirements of all specialized Compliance Domains (mainly, Financial Security, KYC, Protection of Clients Interests, Transversal Risk Management)
  • Advise business teams on compliance matters, provide compliance decision as needed according to applicable procedures, escalate decisions to Corporate or group when necessary according to group decision process.
  • Deploy and implement compliance controls plans (1st and 2nd line of defense). Execute Compliance 2nd line of defense controls.
  • Lead the Compliance permanent control framework locally (LOD1 and LOD2 controls)
  • Ensure the proper management of Leasing Solutions procedures 
  • Validate the quality of the information reported by Leasing Solutions Nordics countries and participate in the production of reports addressed to Corporate Compliance, Group Compliance, and the 3 regulators
  • Conduct Risk Assessment Process for Leasing Solutions Nordics, aggregate and report risk on leasing-specific issues and contribute to mitigation plan 
  • Implement Compliance training and awareness programs 
  •  Ensure documentation and tracking of decisions

  • Extensive knowledge of Compliance issues and challenges, mostly in Financial Security/KY-
  • If possible, knowledge of leasing (processes, products & associated risks, clients…)
  • Bilingual English or English native if no other language.
