Your job in a nutshell
Are you a data-savvy professional, passionate about turning raw data into actionable insights?
As an Internal Auditor - Data Analyst in the Internal Credit Models Audit Team of Inspection Générale (IG) Hub Brussels, Factor you will play a crucial role in supporting management and audit teams by participating in audit missions with a focus on data mining and analysis. You will contribute to credit models deep-dive assignments through data analytics and help evaluate the effectiveness of governance, risk management and control processes.
This is a role for a practical, hands-on data professional who enjoys ensuring processes run reliably as much as building new solutions.
And in detail
- You analyze and document business processes, leveraging on the use of related business and credit models data, and contribute to their continuous improvement;
- You support the audit teams to translate audit objectives into data requirements, and to extract data from data warehouses and operational systems, transforming data and preparing it for analysis in the context of credit model reviews and deep-dive audit work.
- You provide meaningful data insights, through advanced data mining and analytics, ensuring data is fit for purpose for audit and deep-dive review activities.
- You develop, enhance and maintain solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate), SAS and Python to support audit analytics and the review of internal credit models.
Your skills and strengths
- You have a strong analytical mindset.
- You have a proven experience, or a strong academic background, in data analytics or data engineering, ideally complemented by exposure to model development, model validation or related audit work.
- You are interested in learning the bank’s data platforms and you have strong hands-on experience with data tools, enabling you to work effectively on datasets used in model analysis and audit testing.
- You have a solid understanding of data governance, quality, and security management principles.
- You have a strong expertise in the use of Microsoft Power Platforms: Power BI (data modelling, DAX, dashboard development), Power Automate (workflow automation), PowerApps (basic application development and support).
- Experience with Python, BI4 and SAS for data transformation and analysis is a strong plus, particularly for audit analytics and model-related data investigations.

- You can use English as a working language for both verbal and written communication. Additionally, you are fluent in one of our national languages (French or Dutch) and have a very good knowledge of the other.
- You have a master's degree.
- You have strong problem-solving skills, and you pay attention to details.
- You work autonomously, manage priorities and respect deadlines.
- You have excellent organizational skills, and you are able to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- You proactively and enthusiastically contribute as a team player with a professional, result-driven, and client-oriented approach.
