Key responsibilities
- Assist the Head of Strategic Equity in growing BNPP’s strategic equity franchise in APAC.
- In addition to margin financing, delta-one derivatives and non-linear derivatives, liaise with other Strategic Equity platforms (Europe & US) on any new products/solutions that could be relevant for Asian clients / markets. Create innovative products/solutions suited to market conditions, client needs or legal/tax/accounting/regulatory changes,
- Execution: execution is a cornerstone of the mandate and will entail working with infrastructure partners (e.g. risk, legal, compliance, finance) on executing transactions in a manner consistent with the bank’s standards and new strategic initiatives. Be active in the negotiation and review of the transaction documentation with Legal and support the booking of the transaction in coordination with Trading and Middle Office.
- Implement marketing strategy across APAC client segments: Corporates, Sponsors, WM clients. In that respect, the role will have an active interaction with Strategic Equity Sales / RMs during the origination process through Global Banking, Wealth Management, FIC, and GM.
- Monitor existing portfolio of Strategic Equity transactions in coordination with GM Trading and RISK. Prepare a regular reporting to local and global management.
- The role will report to the Head of Strategic Equity APAC.
Experience and technical skills:
- At least 10 years of successful experience in Strategic Equity activities or equivalent
- Deep technical knowledge of Strategic Equity products
- Good understanding and awareness of risk: understands market, credit, operational, compliance, legal, regulatory, reputational risks etc of transactions executed by Strategic Equity
- Knowledge and understanding of Strategic Equity clients universe in APAC
- Good commercial skills
- Ability to leverage BNPP echo system
