About the job
The primary objective of the Strategy and Strategic Investments team is to be the strategic thought partner and advisor to the senior management of Global Markets and General Management of the Bank, to guide and support the management of the activity. The team has also the mandate to lead and manage the equity investments in companies that Global Markets makes (in Fintech for instance, or through M&A transaction like the deal with Deutsche Bank). The team is located in London, New-York, Hong-Kong, Paris and Lisbon.
Your Main Activities Are
- Analyze the competitive benchmarking for Global Markets to understand:
- The industry landscape, upcoming trend shifts
- Competitors’ business mix evolution
- The revenue pool historical evolution
- The market and wallet share evolution
- Support the preparation of deep-dive analysis on the performance of the business, products, regions and clients
- Support the senior team members in:
- Strategic projects
- Ad-hoc strategic presentations to management, regulators
- Processes of strategic relevance to the business
- Consolidating regular activity updates
Profile and Skills to Success
- Graduate from a business-related degree (e.g. business management, finance, economics) or engineering program (or equivalent).
- 1 or 2 years of experience in banking, consulting, finance or business management with an overall understanding of the financial markets’ world
- Structured, methodical approach and strong prioritization based on business impact
- Resilient and collaborative mindset with cross cultural awareness in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to comprehend, analyze and interpret complex data sets and industry reports to provide detailed quantitative and qualitative data
- Ability to put together well structured and easy-to-follow presentations, conveying the key messages and relevant findings
- Excellent written and spoken English skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required
