About the job
- The Operational Risk Officer Team leader - Servicing contributes to the implementation of Operational Risk & Permanent Control Framework in BNP Paribas CIB activities, by supervising 1st line of Defense through challenging the implemented control framework
- The team leader is responsible for an Activity/ Business line, leading to excellency a team of Servicing Operational Risk Officers and Servicing Operational Risk Senior Officers
Your Main Activities Are
- Participate and contribute to the risk community at BL/Activity or CIB level, sharing with relevant stakeholders, proposing solutions and implementing best practices
- Support the definition of the yearly control plan of the BL/Activity under management. Contribute to controls identification according to notable risks identified by BL/Activity ORM team
- Ensure the correct and timely execution of control plan by the team according to the roadmap established. Contribute to harmonization of practices, efficiency in control execution and added value results and comments
- Ensure relevant issuance of Permanent Control Actions to BL/Activity 1st LOD, in strong collaboration with business and RM teams, as well as their correct and timely follow up
- Ensure the correct and timely execution of quality review of non significant historical incidents for the respective BL/Activity
- Ensure the correct and timely execution of the Check & Challenge of Accounting Cross Check process executed by 1LOD for the respective Activity/BL
- Lead and coach team members in a complete manner with the objective of pursuing their best performance achievement
- Ensure the quality and timeliness of the work performed by the team, both on BAU and project activities
- Communicate, alert and escalate any attention point to the team Manager and/or to the RISK ORM CIB teams
- Communicate effectively with team members, supporting change and fostering risk culture
Profile and Skills to Success
- Masters Degree in Economics / Finance / Accounting or related
- At least 4 years of experience in Banking and Financial Operations / Risk and Controls or similar
- Advanced level of English, both written and oral
- Knowledge in MS Office Pack (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to develop others and improve their skills
- Ability to share / pass on knowledge
- Communication skills, both written and oral
- Critical thinking
- Personal impact / ability to influence
