About Business line/Function: | |||||||
The mission of Risk Systems is to provide Senior Management of the Group, of the Operating Divisions, and of RISK with full transparency and dynamic analysis of the risks and clients managed by Corporate Investment Banking (CIB) and Investment Solutions (IS) Business Units, as per the scope detailed below. On Market & Liquidity risks: it is Group-wide. Risk Systems comprehensively covers the CIB capital markets activities, ALM Treasury as well as the IS Business Units, On Counterparty risks: it is Group-wide. Risk Systems covers all counterparty risks arising from derivative and repo transactions, Depending on mandates given, Risk Systems also assumes, directly or indirectly, responsibilities on the above risk categories in specific areas of the Retail Business Units. To provide a fully integrated market and counterparty risk management system, combining flexibility with industrial reliability, operating at the heart of the bank’s risk management framework helping to protect shareholder value and the integrity of investment banking activities. | |||||||

Position Purpose | |||||||
Expected Role: Operations team oversees both functional and technical support on market and counterparty risk systems of the bank. Among the key priorities are the quality aspects of the data that feeds those systems: ensuring data quality issues are resolved, putting in place meaningful Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) about data quality, reviewing and improving existing processes and KPIs, and assisting on the preparation of material for committees where those KPIs are discussed. The mission of Operations team is met by: · Delivering high quality client services to Risk Systems users by combining industrial operational processes with sound risk knowledge. · Ensuring clients and Senior management have a clear vision of the quality of the services provided by Operation teams, thanks to the production of meaningful KPIs about our main services. · Resolution of incidents related to data quality, what regularly involves investigation and coordination with other teams. · Running, streamlining, documenting existing processes and improving them once we detect any opportunities to do so · Analyzing all available sources of information, as well as liaising with colleagues to obtain technical & business knowledge to ensure quick resolution to run the business functions. · The role is for a position within the Operations team in Bangalore primarily focused on Market Risk intraday limits and stress testing. | |||||||
Responsibilities | |||||||
Direct Responsibilities The successful candidate will join as a RACS Analyst, playing a critical role in data quality management, risk reporting, and process optimization for Market Risk Stress test. Core responsibilities include: a. Business knowledge o Understand the flow & overall business in corporate & investment banking o Provide a first level of explanation on level and the movements of the risk metrics displayed and computed within RISK Systems: Risk Sensitivities, Capital Charges, Reserves, Stress Tests, Limits, and Exposure. o Have at least a basic knowledge of financial products across asset classes b. Data Quality & KPI Governance o Design, implement, and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor data quality (e.g., timeliness, accuracy of daily risk indicators). o Track trends, identify anomalies, and ensure alignment with internal standards. o Ensure the timely provision of metrics such as stress testing impact and Greeks required by users for limit monitoring, analysis and reporting. o Sign off the data integrity within the system. o Research, diagnose, troubleshoot and identify solutions to resolve functional/data issues/queries c. Incident Management & Remediation o Extract, analyze, and report on system incidents, including: § Statistical deep dives to pinpoint inefficiencies or recurring issues. § Collaboration with subject-matter experts to diagnose root causes. § Synthesis of findings for leadership reviews. d. Process Improvement & Innovation o Critically assess existing workflows (e.g., Market Risk Stress Test indicators) to identify bottlenecks and propose scalable solutions. o Industrialize processes: Automate repetitive tasks, enhance documentation, and provide daily user support (e.g., troubleshooting, ad-hoc queries). o Champion innovative changes aligned with internal policies and regulatory expectations. e. Financial Data Analysis & Visualization o Analyze complex risk/financial datasets, deriving actionable insights for management. o Develop clear, impactful visualizations (dashboards, reports) to facilitate decision-making. f. Cross-Functional Collaboration o Act as a bridge between Risk Analysts, IT teams, and business stakeholders: § Test and document new system features (e.g., for Agile/Scrum development squads). § Address ad-hoc requests from product owners and risk teams with precision. o Foster strong partnerships with internal RISK Systems clients to ensure alignment with operational needs. g. Committee Support & Stakeholder Reporting o Prepare materials and actively participate in monthly governance committees (e.g., Data Management, Operations) to present KPI analyses, insights, and actionable recommendations. o Translate technical data into clear, executive-level narratives for senior management.
Successful candidate is expected to perform the above tasks in collaboration and agreement with the team leaders, project leads and other development staff, and where necessary with the Business Analysts, Ops Leads, FO, A & D teams, Methodology teams Background - Strong Functional / Data / Risk Analysis experience - Market, counterparty and Credit risk awareness | |||||||
