Your Role, the team and the work environment

As a Credit Portfolio Management Analyst – Private Debt Financing, you will join BNP Paribas CIB Global Banking, within the Securitised Products Group (SPG) of Global Capital Markets, a division of CIB Global Banking. 
 
 SPG includes several business areas, including the Securitised Products Group. Within SPG, the Private Debt Financing (PDF) activity covers the financing of private debt funds. This involves providing medium-term credit facilities secured by loan portfolios granted by those funds. The loan portfolios are mostly made up of leveraged loans (B equivalent) to corporate entities covering a wide diversity of industry sectors and mostly owned by private equity firms. 
 
 The Private Debt Financing team has two main functions: 
 * Origination & Structuring (O&S), which covers the origination, structuring, and execution of these credit facilities
 * Credit Portfolio Management (CPM), which covers mainly the credit monitoring of these facilities
 
 In addition, PDF benefits from the support of Securitisation Portfolio Management (SPM) within SPG, which covers the management of resources (capital, liquidity) and the supervision of operational aspects (middle and back office).

Your main responsibilities will comprise :

  • To assist the Origination & Structuring (O&S) team in setting up facilities and participating in Due Diligences.
  • To review and analyse the reporting produced by clients on the facilities, including financial models and financial information on underlying obligors
  • To support the quarterly portfolio review and annual transaction reviews
  • Underlying assets credit analysis function:
    • screen assets of acquired portfolios
    • to detect assets in difficulty over facilities’ lives, review materials (info memo, current trading data, handle Q&A with client), to form a high-level credit views and determine appropriate valuations with the support of senior members
    • support the waiver assessment in relation to inclusion of non-conforming assets in the borrowing base
  • To participate in handling clients’ requests for waivers and amendments, either leading or supporting O&S.
  • To monitor the KPIs on the activity produced by internal functions and SPM
  • Working closely with SPM, oversee the execution of transactions by the Operations team and ensure effective incident management

You will join a team of professionals based in Paris and potentially Lisbon. The position is based in Paris, in the Opéra district, easily accessible by public transport. Hybrid working (on-site/remote) is available according to the entity’s policy.

    • A fixed annual salary, paid over 12 months, ranging from €55,000 to €70,000 gross, adjusted according to your profile and experience.

Are You Our Next Credit Portfolio Management Analyst? Yes, if :

  • You have a degree from a business school, engineering school, or equivalent university programme, with initial experience (including internships or apprenticeships) in financial analysis, portfolio management, or structured finance.
  • You have strong skills in financial analysis and modelling, and demonstrate rigor and critical thinking.
  • You are able to work as part of a team, manage several projects simultaneously, and communicate effectively in English and ideally in French.
  • You are adaptable and enjoy dynamic, demanding environments.
