Who will I be working with?


You will be working in the Risk & Control Department within Client Delivery business as a Data Analyst (working towards the Data Analyst SCQF 8 apprenticeship programme). 

Within Risk and Control Department we have a team focusing on 3 main business areas: Operational Oversight & Risk, CoE Oversight (*Centre of Expertise) and MI Reporting

This team is part of the wider Securities Services business line. Securities Services is a leading global custodian and securities services specialist that provides multi-asset post-trade and asset servicing solutions for buy and sell-side market participants, corporates and issuers.  With a global reach covering 90+ markets, our custody network is one of the most extensive in the industry, enabling clients to maximise their investment opportunities worldwide.

As a key part of the Corporate and Institutional Banking division, Securities Services (CIB2S) is a business line of BNP Paribas and fully integrated into the vision of the Group, serving our global corporate and institutional franchise. The ambition of the business line is to be ‘the leading positive-impact asset servicer and partner of choice for large financial institutions.  


What will I be doing?


Working across all 3 teams will require you to perform complex and specialised tasks and become fluent in the Bank’s systems and processes. Such duties can include:

  • Understanding the role of the Team within the wider Client Delivery department
  • Contributing to a variety of tasks allowing a general introduction to the business
  • Working with Analysts within our MI team to provide support to the wider team to drive process improvements and efficiencies in our Oversight packs.
  • To use your own skills and knowledge to identify areas of improvement and ensure we drive a ‘Data Driven organisation’ – ensuring data to be presented in such a way where we can identify issues and drive actions to ensure service issues are addressed proactively
  • Ensure the data we use allows the wider departments to identify areas of Risk and focus, driving action across Client Delivery business unit


Technical Skills and Qualifications required for the role


  • Qualifications at SCQF Level 6 or equivalent
  • Preferred candidates who are finishing studies in 2025 or attained within the past 12 months
  • Must be 18 years of age by September 2026 to be considered
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent attention to detail skills 
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Duration: 24 months

Location: Glasgow


Additional Information


  • Apprentices need to have a continued right to live and work in the UK for the duration of the programme.
  • You may only apply for one Apprenticeship role per academic year. 
  • Our apprenticeship roles are aimed at candidates who have not already completed a degree at a University.
