About the job 

  • Fully integrated in the BNP Paribas Group, BNP Paribas Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) is a leading provider of solutions to two client franchises: corporate and institutional clients, and operates across EMEA (Europe Middle East Africa), APAC (Asia Pacific) and the Americas
  • BNP Paribas CIB strives to service the global economy by providing solutions to its clients in financing (ECM, DCM, specialized financing), flow banking (trade finance and cash management), financial advisory (M&A, project finance), global markets (interest rates, credit, foreign exchange, equity derivatives), risk management, and securities services
  • CIB Analytics Consulting team (AC) consists of 60 people based in Paris, North America and Portugal. Reporting to the CIB Chief Data Officer, Analytics Consulting is an in-house centre of expertise on Data, Analytics and Artificial Intelligence. It is at the forefront of the data transformation of BNP Paribas CIB and the team is constantly evolving. It helps internal entities (primarily CIB) best understand and use internal & external data. It offers to its internal client dashboarding, advanced analytics capabilities and AI applications in response to business projects and needs
  • This trainee position sits within our Business Management practice which supports transversally all the activities we perform in Analytics Consulting across France and Portugal. This position has high exposure to Senior Management and offers and full perspective of the portfolio of projects we deliver 

Your Main Activities Are 

  • Support the business management of the team 
  • Engage in the financial management of the team which includes: Time Management (Data quality and consistency, exception reports etc), Finance (Billing including end to end invoicing process, Budget including Forecast update etc), Portfolio Management (Resource Allocation, Project portfolio updates etc)
  • Implement improvements to the existing and upcoming financial processes (automation, optimization, quality etc) 
  • Support the management team in preparing Executive presentation and reports 
  • Support HR and Recruitment processes 
  • Engage in the recruitment of internal and external staff 
  • Work with managers to update documentation for sourcing of candidates (create job description, etc) 
  • Coordinate interview process with candidates and interviewers 
  • Update candidate database tracking to ensure it's up to date at all steps of the process 
  • Generic administrative support 
  • Organize the onboarding and offboarding of team members (request for computer equipment, accesses, entitlements, etc) 
  • Participate in team meetings by producing minutes and presentation materials
  • Support and suggest improvements to our communication efforts internally and externally 
  • Support management of various Team's activities including Team events, Visitors trip agenda etc

Profile and Skills to Success 

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Management / Business Administration / Business Management or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills - oral & written 
  • English fluent, French and Portuguese a plus 
  • Ability to deliver / Results driven 
  • Organised, ability to prioritise tasks 
  • Detail oriented 
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite 
  • Strong interest in Data and AI technologies
