YOUR JOB IN A NUTSHELL
Become Head of the Fraud Department - the frontline team protecting our clients and their assets from fraud. You’ll be a member of the Management team of the Client Service Center. You'll detect, investigate and prevent fraud, working closely across teams and with the wider BNP Paribas Group. We combine sharp analysis with a strong sense of responsibility, always aiming for smarter, faster and more ethical fraud prevention.

Lead a dynamic team of 40 experts at the heart of BNP Paribas Fortis’ defence against financial fraud. We operate in a fast-evolving environment where fraud techniques shift rapidly, instant payments are the norm, and finding the right balance between security and client experience is key.
What you’ll do
- Lead the fraud risk strategy : shape a future-facing vision for fraud prevention and translate it into clear priorities, working closely with our Agile Tribe (cross-functional teams) and senior stakeholders.
- Optimise organisation & resources : continuously adapt the team’s structure and tools, balancing operational needs, budget constraints and expectations from regulators and the BNP Paribas Group.
- Act as a key representative : serve as the primary contact for regulators, auditors, executive leadership and internal teams, ensuring transparency, trust and alignment on anti-fraud efforts.
Key responsibilities of the team
- Investigate & analyse fraud cases : examine suspicious activity, collect evidence and use these insights to detect patterns and improve fraud detection tools.
- Work across sectors & institutions : collaborate with internal teams, the wider banking sector, regulators and even law enforcement, always ensuring compliance with anti-fraud rules.
- Raise awareness & learn from others : learn from global best practices and help educate clients and colleagues on emerging fraud risks and how to stay protected.

YOUR TALENTS AND COMPETENCES
Education & experience
- At least 15 years of experience in the financial industry, including significant senior management responsibilities in fraud prevention or financial crime.
- A strong and current understanding of fraud management practices and regulatory frameworks.
- Equivalent expertise and leadership experience may be considered in place of formal qualifications.
Hard skills
- Broad knowledge of banking operations, with proven experience in managing relationships with senior stakeholders and understanding their strategic priorities.
- Deep expertise in fraud and cyber security, with the ability to navigate complex and evolving regulatory environments.
- Familiarity with financial risk governance and interbank collaboration frameworks.
- Capacity to align operational strategy with regulatory expectations and corporate priorities.
- Fluency in French, Dutch and English - both spoken and written.

- Sharp analytical and critical thinking skills; able to assess complex situations with clarity and rigour.
- Open to new ideas, with a strong awareness of external trends and global best practices.
