About Business line/Function: Asset Management – Collateral & Derivatives Support
Position Purpose:
BNP Paribas Asset Management is part of BNP Paribas Group and is responsible for the process of managing and monitoring assets, on behalf of individual and corporate clients. BNPP AM offers funds and mandates towards its clients. These funds & mandates are managed by Portfolio Managers, who are based in different locations across the globe.
The mission of Asset Management Operations – ISPL is to organize and perform, as a global service provider, the operations activities for portfolio management and the associated reporting in a regulatory compliant, risk controlled, qualitative and efficient way.
The role of the different Transaction Processing teams (Trade Support, Collateral & Derivatives Support and Security Financing Operations) within AMO is essential to ensure that all transactions are correctly reflected in the position keeping tools, meaning they should be accurate and in line with service providers and client expectations.
As a Processor of the Collateral and Derivatives Support team, you will be responsible for the Capture and processing of daily collateral movements (cash, securities, guarantees). You will need to perform margin calls, collateral sweeps, and substitutions in accordance with CSA/ISDA and GMRA agreements. Monitor and resolve mismatches between internal records and external custodians/clearing houses. Reconcile collateral balances across internal systems (e.g., ALADDIN) and external sources (custodians, CCPs).
You will also be responsible for ensuring the collateral calculations will be done correctly. This is done by guaranteeing a correct Collateral contracts setup as well as correct OTC valuations are calculated by the Aladdin tool, which will trigger correct collateral calls.
Finally, given that for about half of our portfolios the Collateral management is outsourced to an external party, you will be included in the oversight setup. This means you will need to make sure they have all required information in order to execute their work properly, but you will also need to oversee their work through KPIs and controls.
Direct Responsibilities
The Collateral & Derivatives Support Processor supports the front‑office and middle‑office teams by ensuring that collateral postings, movements, and substitutions are accurately captured, verified, and reconciled across the firm’s portfolio of transactions. The Collateral & Derivative Support Processor is responsible for the end‑to‑end processing, monitoring, and control of OTC derivative transactions and the associated collateral lifecycle. The role ensures accurate trade capture, timely settlement, robust collateral management, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Contributing Responsibilities
· Capture and process daily collateral movements (cash, securities, guarantees).
· Perform margin calls, collateral sweeps, and substitutions in accordance with CSA/ISDA agreements.
· Monitor and resolve mismatches between internal records and external custodians/clearing houses.
· Reconcile collateral balances across internal systems (ALADDIN) and external sources (custodians, CCPs).
· Produce daily/weekly collateral status reports for front‑office, risk, and finance.
· Escalate and investigate unapplied payments, valuation discrepancies, or broken trades.
· Ensure processing complies with regulatory frameworks (e.g., EMIR).
· Maintain audit trails and support internal/external audit inquiries.
· Perform exception checks (e.g., insufficient collateral, eligibility breaches).
· Contribute to the development and monitoring of control matrices and SOPs.
· Liaise with front‑office traders, risk managers, legal, and external counterparties.
· Liaise with external service provider to guarantee they can well execute their tasks
· Respond to client queries regarding collateral eligibility, settlement status, and documentation.

Specific Qualifications:
· Graduation / Post Graduation from any recognized University with Finance as Major.
· Candidates should be willing and flexible to work in any shift.
Skills Referential (Required knowledge, skills and abilities)
Technical Skills:
· Attention to Detail: Precise data entry and verification; low tolerance for errors.
· Technical Knowledge:
o Understanding of collateral types (cash, government bonds, OTC instruments, repos, letters of credit).
o Familiarity with collateral management platforms and trade lifecycle systems (BlackRock Aladdin, TriOptima).
· Financial Markets: Understanding of financial markets, instruments, and products (e.g., stocks, bonds, derivatives, currencies).
· Analytical Ability: Strong numerical aptitude; ability to perform detailed reconciliations and variance analysis.
· Regulatory Awareness: Knowledge of margining regulations (EMIR, Uncleared Margin Rules).
