Within Global Equities, Prime Services blends world‑class prime‑brokerage (financing, securities lending, risk‑management) with our innovative equity‑derivative franchise to help clients raise, invest and hedge capital efficiently.
We’re now recruiting for an APAC Product Development role that will work cross‑functionally with product, client‑facing, and technology teams to enrich the platform offering, launch flagship initiatives and drive the next generation of Prime Services for the region, in line with evolving market opportunities, client demand and regulatory environment.
This role provides Asia Pacific exposure to Equities and Prime brokerage product development alongside a comprehensive understanding of project management and product life cycle.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and prioritize product enhancements, redesign business processes, and capture formal business requirements together with a target operating model.
- Conduct end‑to‑end impact analyses with key stakeholders, review use cases, and drive issue resolution throughout delivery.
- Build and maintain project plans, ensure governance standards are met, track milestone progress, and escalate and resolve problems promptly.
- Draft detailed use‑case documentation and lead user‑acceptance testing activities.
- Manage client‑specific requests and short‑term business‑enablement initiatives.
- Diagnose manual‑process and control gaps, propose automated solutions, and work with operations and Technology to implement them.
- Grow into a subject‑matter expert, using deep domain knowledge to craft innovative, value‑added solutions.
- Partner with technology teams and internal desks to shape functional solution designs.
PROFILE
- 3 to 5 years of experience in the financial services sector, with solid exposure to the hedge fund ecosystem.
- Proven background or exposure to product management within Prime Services, Inventory Management and/or Cash Equities.
- Experience in a comparable role supporting product and platform roll‑outs across China, Hong Kong and/or Taiwan will be valuable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable engaging with sales, trading, technology, operations, compliance, and client‑management teams at all organizational levels.
- Naturally inquisitive and detail‑oriented, capable of juggling multiple issues simultaneously.
- Highly adaptable and collaborative, with ability to drive outcome in autonomy.
- Self‑motivated, efficient, and well‑organized, thriving under ambitious deadlines.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools—Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Holds a postgraduate degree in Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline.
