About the job
- The Permanent Control's general mission is to oversee the implementation of the Operational Risk and Permanent Control management system for the RISK Business Governance Layer (BGL) BNP Paribas Function, helping the Chief Risk Officer to manage the level of operational risk generated by the activities under his responsibility (identifying points of attention and areas of weakness), and by implementing the necessary actions for raising awareness and communicating about operational risk management
Your Main Activities Are
- Actively collaborate in the establishment of the operational risk and control assessment (RCSA) for RISK
- Participate in the updating of the RCSA and the control plan for each department of the RISK Function within BGL BNP Paribas
- Ensure that the main RISK processes are covered
- Include and align the regulator’s /auditors' findings with the identified risks
- Ensure consistency between the action plan and the identified risks
- Contribute to the preparation of the Internal Control Committee of BGL RISK
- Contribute to compliance with procedures
- Ensure the existence and updating of RISK procedures
- Propose adaptations aimed at enhancing the control of operational risks
- Execute and formalize the controls covering the risks described in the risk mapping, including the annual review of major controls
- Ensure that the Group's generic controls, defined according to the control plan, are deployed locally and oversee the consistency of methodologies for major controls (Key Control Points)
- Monitor the recommendations issued by internal/external auditors and by the regulator (internal control reports, audit reports, and recommendation letters) and produce a follow-up report for the attention of the RISK management
- Contribute to the semi-annual Permanent Control report for the RISK function
- Centralize the tracking of historical incidents, potential incidents, and frauds for BGL RISK
- Ensure the existence of a Business Continuity Plan for every RISK service and coordinate its annual update
Profile and Skills to Success
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree
- At least 3 years of experience in Finance or similar
- Advanced level of English and French, both written and oral
- Analytical and synthesis skills
- Ability to report

About the Team
- The RISK function of BGL BNP Paribas is currently looking for a senior permanent controller to strengthen its Permanent Control team, integrated within the RISK Operating Office of BGL BNP Paribas RISK in Luxembourg
- In this context, you will be based in Lisbon, and you will work daily with BGL Risk Operational and Permanent Control team in Luxemburg
