Job Title: Assistant Manager – .NET C# Engineer

Department: GMIT

About Business line/Function: 

The Global Markets IT is the complete gamut of IT solutions that facilitate and enable the Global Markets business of BNP Paribas. Within Global Markets IT, Trade Processing is the domain, which comprises of the range of asset-specific applications that manage the lifetime and workflow of deals right from their capture through to their settlement and reporting.

Position Purpose: 

As part of the FX Commodities & Settlement IT team within Global Markets IT, you will play a critical role in the end-to-end development, testing, and support of Foreign Exchange Options booking platform for internal banking users.

You will design, enhance, and maintain high-performance applications, troubleshoot Level 3 issues, and collaborate with Project Managers to ensure seamless delivery of development milestones. 

We are seeking a results-driven Engineer with 6+ years of experience, a technical mindset, and expertise in modern development stacks. You should be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of delivering high-quality solutions on time.

Responsibilities 

  • Build, support, and enhance applications, ensuring seamless functionality through bug-fixing and continuous improvements.
  • Demonstrate strong functional knowledge of the application, ensuring solutions align with business needs.
  • Propose innovative solutions and approaches, including impact analysis, to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
  • Prioritize quality in all aspects of development, including scope definition, defect management, performance optimization, and rigorous testing.
  • Design and execute high-quality test plans, including unit, functional, integration, and regression testing to maintain system reliability.
  • Report progress to the Team Lead, ensuring transparency and alignment with project goals.
  • Escalate critical issues to the Team Lead or management for timely resolution.
  • Adhere to project and organizational standards throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and daily development tasks.
  • Maintain administrative tasks, such as Jira for task tracking and Wiki for documentation, to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Collaborate with production release and support teams to ensure smooth deployment and ongoing application reliability.
  • Meet deadlines and deliverables, proactively communicating any risks or roadblocks to the Team Lead to keep projects on track
