The Hispanic Latin America region is a key market for BNP Paribas. While Brazil remains the largest economy in Latin America, other major countries in the region are also significant contributors for the business being Chile the second major country in contributions to BNP Paribas Group. and has been uninterruptedly present in Chile for more than 60 years.
BNP Paribas has a historical footprint in the Hispanic Latin America. The Bank has been in the region since 1914 and is now present in 5 countries with nearly 2000 employees between Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) and International Financial Services.
CIB in Hispanic Latin America has world-class teams of roughly 300 professionals spread among Colombia, Mexico, Chile, Peru and Argentina, thus ensuring an overall coverage of BNP Paribas’ client franchise in the region. All BNP Paribas’ business lines have operations in Hispanic Latin America and are structured in such a way as to provide their clients with the best combination of specialists according to sector, product or geographic region. In the context of growing globalization, they are able to accommodate their clients thanks to their powerful regional platforms:
- In North America (essentially New York but also other hubs such as Houston and San Francisco) and Brazil (Sao Paulo) with a number of professionals covering Latin America.

In Chile, BNP Paribas has presence through 5 entities representing the Group: the Rep. Office for the Corporate and Institutional Banking pole. Job Purpose:
The role of the Financial Institutions Coverage (FIC) Analyst based in Santiago is to support the internal workload of the FIC activity, including the bulk of the credit, compliance, KYC and onboarding processes as well as reports to local and regional management. He/She will focus on assisting the FIC Banker in Chile; he/she will also support the FIC activity the regional FIC America-Latam reports.
Duties and Responsibilities
- In the case of Chile, assist the FIC banker for all the coverage activities including, but not limited to: operating & administrative issues, legal documentation, credit metrics & requests, client briefing memos and action plans, envelope and budget proposal and follow-up (forecast), request to internal committees (BSC/TAC,RAC), prepare marketing materials for client meetings, as well as support and coordinate the credit processes with Risk-I2S, including annual risk reviewsfor the different sectors under coverage. Be attentive to regional developments and be proactive with Bankers (deals closed, relevant clint and markets news, market regulations, credit developments, M&A activity,). From SNL, Rating agencies, BNPP research.
- Jointly with FIC Latam peer Analysts and Interns (in a coordinated way, splitting the workload among all) elaborate reports and presentations for the FIC Latam team and support any type of regional project or initiatives. Also, perform as back up for other junior resources in the region.
· Support the Chile Head of Territory (HoT) operation through its periodical presentations and internal reports
Qualifications
· Business degree or similar (Finance, Economics, Industrial Engineering) – Finance studies profile
- >1 years of work experience in the Financial Industry
- Organized, able to adapt, willing to manage high workload and due dates
- Demonstrates the highest levels of integrity and conduct
- Effective teamwork, cross cultural awareness and collaborative skills
- Analytical thinking
- Able to handle multiple tasks with different stakeholders simultaneously creating internal networks

- Strong oral and written capabilities
- Completely fluent in Spanish and English
- Advanced in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of the financial services industry is a plus but not required
