Today, everybody expects to make or receive payments anywhere, anytime, fast, cheap, and secure.
BNP Paribas Fortis is one of the largest payment processors in Europe. New and existing IT technologies are being developed and maintained out of Tribe Payments in Brussels following the agile methodology. Our teams work in multi-cultural and empowered squads who deliver new functionalities and enhancements on a frequent basis.
The mission of Tribe Payments is to grow as a reliable and cost-efficient payment service provider for customers of BNP Paribas Group worldwide, whilst implementing and maintaining payment products based on innovative technologies.
What we expect from you as an intern
Mission: "Shape the Future of Onboarding @ Tribe Payments"
Join us to redesign the onboarding experience for new talents at BNP Paribas Fortis. This is your chance to analyze, streamline, and enhance how new colleagues integrate into Tribe Payments, ensuring a smooth, professional, and engaging start.
You will diagnose current process, propose practical improvements, and collaborate with our Project Management Office colleagues to implement changes.
Your work will directly relieve our squads and boost their efficiency.
Ideal if you are process-driven, detail-oriented, and structured.
Are you the right person in the right place?
- Expected skills and knowledge
- Process analysis & mapping – Ability to document workflows, identify bottlenecks, and propose improvements,
- Data literacy – Proficiency in collecting, organizing, and interpreting process data (Excel, basic statistics),
- Problem-solving & critical thinking – Logical approach to diagnosing inefficiencies and suggesting actionable solutions,
- Project management basics – Familiarity with task prioritization, timelines, and stakeholder communication,
- Attention to detail – Accuracy in tracking metrics, spotting inconsistencies, and ensuring compliance with procedures,
- Communication skills – Clear written/verbal reporting to summarize findings for non-technical teams.
- Language requirements:
- professional English (Fluent, both spoken and written) and
- Dutch/French (Native)
- Dynamic, pragmatic, target-oriented, listener
- Are you nearing the end of your master’s degree ?
Are you interested in implementing business processes in an international IT environment ?
Your internship lasts at least two months, with a schedule of four or five days per week.

Our internships are open to all students in their 3rd year of Bachelor’s or Master’s programs. We welcome interns from September to December and January to May. To join us, you’ll need a signed internship agreement from your school or university.
All our internships are unpaid, but you’ll receive a daily lump-sum allowance to cover transport or meal expenses.
