 Application Functional Support – Customer Data & Services

Business line / Function description
 The IT Payment Services line is the global hub for payments and cash‑management solutions across the BNP Paribas Group. It delivers high‑throughput, highly secure applications that process billions of transactions each year. The team works in an Agile, DevOps‑centric environment and collaborates closely with product owners, compliance, and operations to keep the platform reliable, compliant, and innovative.

Position purpose
Deliver end‑to‑end functional support and incident resolution for business‑critical applications, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations. Simulate, test, and validate business processes and system changes. To provide expert guidance that drives reliable, efficient service delivery.

Responsibilities

Direct responsibilities

·        Provide business support and guidance to stakeholders, leveraging product knowledge and application support expertise

·        Manage and resolve functional incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations and providing timely resolutions

·        Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless operations and resolve functional issues.

·        Apply ITIL principles and incident management best practices to ensure efficient and effective issue resolution

·        Test and simulate business processes and applications to identify areas for improvement and optimize performance

·        Provide support and guidance to business users, addressing queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

·        Open to adaptation of new technology, learning and implementation within the project.

·        Ensure delivery timelines are met while maintaining high quality and compliance standards.

 

Technical & Behavioral competencies

·        8-10 years of professional experience in Application support and functional incident management.

·        In-depth product knowledge, with a proven track record of addressing complex business queries in a regulated industry (banking, payments, fintech).

·        Monitoring, troubleshooting Mobile and Web applications.

·        Solution management – business use case clarification with the technology exposure.

·        Functional support experience, with the ability to resolve business-related issues.

·        Application monitoring and troubleshooting skills

·        Linux, application monitoring tools exposure – Beginner level

·        Exposure in applying ITIL principles

·        Strong English communication skills (written and spoken).

·        Proficient in analytical skills 

 

Specific qualifications

·        8  - 10 years of relevant professional experience along with Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

 

 

Skills Referential (Required knowledge, skills and abilities)

Other Skills:

-          Agile methodology exposure

-          Knowledge of banking products is a nice to have

-          Proactive mindset

 

Education Level: Bachelor Degree or equivalent

 

Location: Chennai / Mumbai
