Job Title: Assistant Manager (IC role) – Fund Accounting 

Department: ISO

About Business line/Function: Fund Accounting/Administration

Position Purpose: Fund Accounting operation / production

Responsibilities: Daily Operations 

 

Direct Responsibilities

  • Perform the processing of all the transactions for dedicated clients in the Fund accounting system in respect of our procedures and the ISAE3402 standard:
  • Ensure the Zero Default quality by placing effective governance within team.
  • Ensure that reconciliations are performed within the team and highlight / flag concern areas
  • Ensure that a second level of control is performed on all manual transactions and archived for audit purposes.
  • Ensure the controls of OTC pricing 
  • Ensure quick turnaround or minimal ETA to queries raised by person in charge of an action in the NAV Cycle
  • Respect our clients Net Asset Value publication cut off.
  • Ensure allocation of work done in justified manner and all required analysis on team capacity, workflow, details of team, static data all are well maintained within the system.

 

 Contributing Responsibilities

SME Responsibility:

 

  • Manage BAU and take corrective measures/actions, if required. Updating team adequately on any changes/new events impacting BAU. Should be proactively escalating the BAU issues to Manager.
  • Train new members on necessary training requirements & help new employees to perform the relevant tasks.
  • Conducting Daily Team huddles & share points & open issues. 
  • Be SMEs and ensure that he/she is Back-up for all scope of BAU client managed in team
  • Ensure Participation in CSR & Other engagement initiatives

 

Risk Management:

 

  • Enforce 100% compliance of SAS70. Carry out sample testing on daily basis & document the results.
  • Ensure procedures are in place to effectively deal with exceptions and that they are reviewed, researched, documented and resolved in a timely manner. 
  • Identify the manual steps, process efficiencies & developments, by providing practical ideas on areas of improvement & work towards its automation. 
  • Ensure to minimize the unplanned leaves, especially during business-critical days, like month end, rollover days and migration of new funds.
  • Inform immediately your manager when an error has been discovered or in case of a problem affecting our client’s duties.

 

Year End closing and Audit: 

Ensure support is provided to make available the documents in due time for the auditors. 

 

Participate in maintaining high standards in terms of quality of our internal relationship

  • Provide professional answers within the agreed standards defined

 

 

Participating in projects 

  • Provide support during project such as funds migration, funds merger, launch of new funds or liquidations, System enhancement testing etc.

 

Mailbox Tracking

  • Monitor the respective group mailbox and respond in agreed TAT to the queries.

Specific Qualifications:

Accounting/Commerce 

Knowledge of Capital Markets and its various market products.
