Position Purpose

APAC Network and Datacenter domain team is responsible for all Network, Telecom and Datacenters services across the APAC region in BNP Paribas. 

Key Responsibilities

APAC Infrastructure Operations

• Accountable for IT Infrastructure services encompassing network, telecoms and datacenters for APAC region 
• Accountable for the quality of respective IT Infrastructure services for the region (measured through KPIs)
• Required to support core governance activities as defined and agreed with the CTO
• Required to achieve goals and objectives as approved with the CTO as per the periodic objectives and appraisal process
• Management of the of teams within CIB IT Infrastructure for network, telecom and datacenters
• Responsible for optimizing the operational processes and supporting the delivery of services
• Supervise the monitoring, the administration, the troubleshooting and the maintenance of the INET & Data Center infrastructure, the management of LAN/MAN/WAN cabling, switches, firewalls, Internet connectivity, Firewall, Proxies, IPS and routers.
• Strong knowledge in Project Management, Network Architecture Design.
• Implement network security at the regional level according to security standards
• Strong knowledge of ITSM and exposure/knowledge of ITIL practices.
• Knowhow of critical processes like Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management etc.
• Strong Program and Project management including project implementation in a dynamic environment.
• Exposure to executing organization-driven controls.

Strategy Definition and Deployment

• Work with other regions on the digital automation strategy for network, telecom and datacenters and execute deployment following agreed standards
• Understand customer needs across Business Lines and Territory and communicate correspondingly, bring this knowledge to the Global decision makers
• Work the delivery model globally with other regions, including Follow-The-Sun support model 

Security

• To supervise and control all Extranet and Internet connectivity and the security behind it, including Reuters, Bloomberg and RBI in the Region.
• To supervise and control changes requested by central banks
• To supervise and control the security of all the firewalls, IPSs and Internet browsing services

Technical

• Accountable for technical competence to ensure that Infrastructure Production maintains the necessary level of technical expertise
• Should have technical knowledge of :

           - Resilient architecture LAN / WAN unicast and multicast

           - Data network technologies products such as Switches, Routers, EPABXs, Firewalls, IPS, Wireless, VPN solutions, and Network Management tools.

           - Voice platforms and services, including Trading Voice, Voice Recorders, Voice Gateways, Call Manager, Video Conferencing products

Finance and Budgeting 

• Accountable for oversight and supervision of the Infrastructure domain budget under their control
• Reporting and presentation of financial metrics to senior managers and stakeholders
• Responsible for approving any changes to operational processes and budget impacts

HR and Sourcing

• Responsible for sourcing strategy for Infrastructure Production
• Responsible for working with Sourcing function on vendor/product/service procurement and on-boarding teams
• Responsible for appraisal and compensation review process for teams 
• Accountable for organising technical training to ensure staff meeting standards set by the domain

Competencies (Technical / Behavioral)

• Able to demonstrate the ability to undertake the above responsibilities
• Has expert knowledge of various Datacenter facilities (UPS, Generator, Fire Suppression, CCTV, CRAC)and Services 
• Has expert knowledge of regulatory requirements related to Datacenters in APAC countries
• Has expert knowledge in designing and delivering Datacenter services
• Has experience in managing multicultural technical staff to deliver various Datacenter services
• Good knowledge and understanding of Datacenter Market in APAC
• Fluent in English to work with the global and regional teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Able to demonstrate a high degree of flexibility including shift and out of hours working
• Demonstrate a positive, diverse and inclusive attitude that fosters excellent service and Business satisfaction
• Excellent organisational skills
• Expert knowledge of ITIL disciplines
• Good team and relationship builder with excellent communication skills at all levels
• Excellent documentation skills

Specific Qualifications Required

• Minimum 15 years working experience in the Network and Datacenter Field, preferably dealing with FSIs 
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Infrastructure Management
• Working experience in APAC region desired
• Ability to work under pressure
