About the job
- The analyst will be responsible for delivering reliable, automated dashboard and reportings, contributing to the request of Claim Paying Ability (CPA) lines and to their monitoring and participating to all the tasks related to the credit-risk management of our pool of insurance counterparties
Your Main Activities Are
- The dashboarding responsibilities involve designing, building and maintaining the quarterly insurance dashboard using tools such as Power BI, Qlik and SPIRIT, as well as performing the quarterly update of the Service Request Tracker (SRT) dashboard Global Banking and Corporate & Private Banking (CPB) France. The role also includes preparing and delivering dashboard presentations for specific forums, producing regular KPI reports for Top Management, Relationship Portfolio Management (RPM) front‑office teams and Risk Micro‑Finance Institutions (Risk MFIes), validating data feeds from internal systems and external insurers and resolving any inconsistencies together with the relevant stakeholders, and automating recurring reporting cycles while documenting the underlying methodology.
- The risk‑insurance and management duties involve monitoring the utilisation of CPA lines including about 45 insurer groups and flagging any breaches against the limits. The role also supports the preparation of request memoranda for Credit Committees by gathering data, performing risk analysis and summarising insurer profiles. In addition, it participates in the onboarding of new insurers—collecting Know‑Your‑Non‑Client (KYNCI) and Know‑Your‑Supplier (KYS) documentation, initiating the onboarding process and negotiating Non‑Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) with assistance from internal legal teams. And contribution to the ongoing maintenance of credit‑insurance policies, risk‑equivalent analysis and ad‑hoc regulatory studies
- The autonomy and coordination responsibilities involve acting as the primary point of contact for any data‑related queries concerning the insurance portfolio and its counterparties, leading the monthly permanent‑control exercises and guaranteeing compliance with Risk Control Self‑Assessment (RCSA) and the Global Compliance Program (GCP) standards, coordinating and communicating with RPM teams—including Greenstars, BNP Paribas’ internal credit‑insurance company, Risk MFI, Financial Institutions Coverage, the Institutional Credit Analyst Team (FIC/ICAT) and broker teams—through regular meetings and training sessions, and driving continuous improvement and upkeep of operational procedures while supporting business‑continuity reviews
Profile and Skills to Success
- Master’s degree in Finance, Risk Management, Economics or related fields
- 5 to 7 years of professional experience in credit‑risk, insurance‑risk or related finance experience
- Proven expertise in building and maintaining dashboards, namely Power BI, Qlik and Excel
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate raw data into actionable insights
- Fluency in English, both oral and written
- High level of autonomy, able to drive tasks from start to finish with minimal supervision
