About the Job
- The Valuation Analyst position in Lisbon focuses on dealing with daily valuations which are not only a crucial element for our clients and for the bank’s risk management (via collateral) but are also the basis for prices on secondary trades
- The Valuation Analyst role isn’t about pricing clients’ requests for quote (RFQ), however, it involves a type of ad-hoc decision-making that directly impacts BNP Paribas’ (BNPP) PNL, while also demanding synthesis and optimization capabilities
Your Main Activities Are
- Provide clients with high-quality, accurate valuations
- Take ownership of the valuation chain including its impact on secondary trades
- Address requests pertaining to valuations, from client service, sales or collateral management
- Conduct deep-dives into specific valuations to provide performance analysis
- Participate in the development and scalability of the platform to improve client satisfaction, by enhancing the quality, speed and accuracy of valuations
Profile and Skills to Success
- Master Degree in Finance or Similar
- Fluent in English
- Client‑focused mindset
- Ability to effectively deliver projects
- Sound decision‑making skills under pressure
- Risk‑aware approach to daily tasks
- Solid knowledge of equity derivatives and structured products
- Ability to write code and understand system architecture and interdependencies
About The Team
- Within Global Equities & Commodity Derivatives department, SCOPE Trading (Secondary Client Offer & Post Trade) is a global team in charge of providing a market on secondary trades on exotic products and facilitating various aspects of BNPP’s secondary market, in particular providing our clients with the most accurate daily valuations on the entire range of products (flow and exotics) traded with them, as well as supporting them with performance explanations on their trades
- SCOPE occupies a unique and strategic position dealing with the entire gamut of products BNPP’s EQD department has to offer, with constant interactions with Sales and Traders
