The Business Risk manager supports the leadership team covering transversal topics by providing the transversal coordination, data‑consolidation and analytical insight that senior management needs to set goals, plan resources and monitor performance.
In this hybrid role the officer establishes, maintains and continuously enhances the corporation‑wide permanent‑control framework, deploying the policies and procedures issued by independent 2nd‑line risk functions and ensuring full compliance with internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
Your Main Activities Are
- The Business Risk and Permanent‑Control officer is responsible for the end‑to‑end design, implementation, maintenance and validation of the organisation's permanent‑control framework.
- A core part of the role is the systematic identification, assessment and monitoring of all material business‑risk exposures. Runs comprehensive, unified risk‑assessment cycles for the assigned scope, keeps the risk register current, and briefs the Risk Committee on significant findings
- Monitoring and reporting are carried out through the production of regular risk‑control dashboards and detailed analytical reports for senior leadership, regulators and auditors, highlighting key risk indicators and control effectiveness
- Regulatory and compliance responsibilities require him/her to stay up‑to‑date with all relevant laws, supervisory guidance and internal policies, to interpret these requirements into concrete control enhancements, and to coordinate with the Compliance, Legal and local regulator functions to confirm that both internal procedures and external expectations are fully satisfied
- Continuous improvement is embedded in the role: the business risk manager benchmarks the firm's control and risk‑management practices against industry best‑practice frameworks, proposes enhancements, and drives the automation of routine control testing and monitoring to increase efficiency, reduce manual error and free resources for higher‑value analysis
- Through advisory and stakeholder‑management activities, the business risk manager partners with business‑unit leaders to embed a risk‑aware culture and ensure that controls are integrated into daily operations
- Project leadership is another pillar of the role. The business risk manager leads or co‑leads transversal, risk‑focused projects--such as control rationalisation, KRI‑dashboard implementation, third‑party risk platforms, ESG (Environment, Social and Governance) integration or automation initiatives
- To enable data‑driven decision‑making, the business risk manager designs, owns and continuously refines data models that consolidate information
Profile and Skills to Success
- Bachelor's or Master´s Degree in Engineering, Management, or Finance related fields
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Up to 2 years of experience in risk management and controls
- Experience using Microsoft Office Tools, particularly Excel and Powerpoint
- Attention to detail and creative thinking having a great stakeholder management skill
- Ability to synthetize and prioritize
- Ability to deliver results and multitask
