Under BNP Paribas IT Group, Finance and Risk IT (FRESH) is the IT framework encompassing Projects & Systems of Finance and RISK functions, with a strong focus on efficiency, proximity, agility and time-to-market.

The Finance and Risk IT (FRESH) organization is the outcome of several convergences: between the Project & Systems teams of Group Finance, CIB Finance and RISK and their related IT teams.

Position Purpose

The developer will be part of the Mind team. Your mission will be to contribute in a project team dedicated to implement processes improvements as part of the digital transformation of Finance and Risk.

Responsibilities

As part a full-stack developer in MIND squad, your daily tasks will be:

Direct Responsibilities

• To challenge user needs regarding their technical feasibility: users’ workshops, understanding the business needs brought by the Product Owner, define the solution and the technical steps needed for implementation.
• To make the development on the whole chain to production: development, tests on each environment (dev, integration, staging, qualification), release in production. 
• Development mainly in Java & Angular but you will also work with ELK stack (ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana) and other technologies.
• “You build it, you run it”: resolve production incidents, help other support teams.
• Communication: share information related to on-going tasks (daily meetings), demonstrations to users.
• Present and explain functionalities, alternatives of different tools and applicability to specific situations and processes.
• Decode and document applications developed by the team or transferred to the team.
• Interface with users to understand requirements in a dynamic environment in an agile fashion.
• Support maintenance, enhancement , troubleshooting and management of applications

Contributing Responsibilities

• Contribute to transversal Finance optimization projects
• Collaborate with Finance counterparts for developing insights and solutions
• Documentation of applications, maintenance processes and user guides.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

• Experience in minimum JAVA verion 8+ and ANGULAR 6+ is mandatory in past projects. 
• IT Infrastructure, IT development, IT/Business relations experience. 
• Proficiency level of English speaking is mandatory, French appreciated.
• 3+ years of overall professional experience in java development is ideally expected.
• Experience of working in an international environment would be a plus.
• Ability to design solutions and prototypes based on requirements or broad ideas.
• Identify skills needed depending on the characteristics of the project
• Understand business requirements and translate them into Technical requirements.
• Experience in waterfall & agile models in software development life cycle. 
• Ability to manage multiple projects through different stages, evolving requirements and conditions.
