Job Title: Assistant Manager (Settlements)

Department: Markets Operations (FXMM‑OTCD)

About Business line/Function: The FXMMOTC business line drives the origination, execution and post‑trade processing of all over‑the‑counter foreign‑exchange and money‑market transactions across the bank’s global client base. It delivers end‑to‑end trade lifecycle services—including confirmation, collateral management, DVP settlement and exception handling—while adhering to the highest standards of risk control, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. Leveraging a unified technology platform and a worldwide network of clearing partners, the team ensures seamless, timely and secure settlement outcomes that underpin BNPParibass liquidity and pricing capabilities in the FX‑MM markets.

Position Purpose: The FXMM Derivatives Back‑Office is responsible for the end‑to‑end settlement of derivative and money‑market trades. The team works closely with marketers, sales, and other internal functions (APAC &EMEA) to deliver “client‑first” post‑trade services. It ensures that all settlement controls, position processes and regulatory requirements are applied consistently, accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

• Process valuedate and valuedate1 payments; ensure clearing.

• Create manual SWIFT payments (MT103, MT202, MTMX).

• Approve and process corporate / interbank trades timely.

• Execute cash settlement with onshore / offshore clients.

• Manage cashfunding activities related to trades.

• Perform endofday (EOD) reconciliations.

• Troubleshoot operational issues and resolve them promptly.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies and procedures.

Contributing Responsibilities

• Continuous review of processes & controls to maintain highlevel risk management.

• Report system failures to the relevant IT development team.

• Enrich the investigation / settlement tools with relevant data.

• Support Finance on sensitiveaccount followup.

• Participate in daily CLS / DTCC prematching and breakresolution.

• Contribute to quarterly CreditRoll cashflow reconciliation.

• Liaise with frontoffice, middleoffice and external counterparties as required.

• Assist in maintaining the “associatedperson” compliance record (background check).

 

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

• Strong knowledge of FXMM and OTCderivatives products & processes.

• Proficiency with SWIFT messaging (MT103, MT202, MTMX).

• Experience with CLS / DTCC matching, breakresolution.

• Accurate cashsettlement and funding management.

Specific Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics or a related field.
  • Minimum 7years of operations experience, with at least 5years in FXMM and OTC derivatives settlement.
  • Fair to strong knowledge of FXMM and OTC‑derivatives products, processes and related documentation.
  • solid grasp of regulatory requirements and risk‑management principles.
  • Proven analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a high‑pressure, deadline‑driven environment.
