Business Overview:

The U.S. Talent Acquisition function consists of in-house recruiters covering various business lines. The team covers experienced hire recruitment, internal mobility and campus recruitment & development. The Executive Recruiter role primarily supports Global Banking and may support other revenue-generating areas depending on hiring volumes. The position reports to the Head of Talent Acquisition for the Americas.

Responsibilities: 

The Executive Recruiter/ Relationship Manager provides tailored, knowledgeable advice on effective Talent Acquisition strategies to support the Business Lines. 


 

  • Partner with Recruiting Manager, collaborating on all open lateral roles, the skill set and experience requirements for each role well as a solid understanding of the Global Banking business’ overall strategy.
  • Function as a talent acquisition advisor to the Business Line by sharing best practices, market trends, competitive intel, interviewing support, etc. 
  • Manage all recruitment activities for Managing Director, and most Director-level roles including best channels for sourcing, techniques for interview and assessment, and offer negotiation / executive compensation package design in conjunction with our Rewards team.
  • Alignment with the HRBPs to understand the emerging headcount needs and the workforce plan for the business unit. 
  • Communicate business line knowledge and insights with broader Talent Acquisition team (Campus and Lateral) 
  • Provide Heads of Business Lines or Functions with quantitative and qualitative data / insights related to their overall talent acquisition, i.e., passive pipelines, time to fill, success ratios, etc.
  • Ensure a best-in-class experience for the candidate. 
  • Follow all operational procedures and controls laid out with the TA Policy and Procedure inventory as well as the Risk Control Self-Assessment and Control Library.
  • Participate in industry events and HR roundtables to keep a current on the market for talent and best practices for talent acquisition.
  • Manage and assess external retained and contingent search firms for senior level searches.

 

This role collaborates and communicates actively with the broader TA team to provide a full view of recruiting activity to the Heads of Business and Business Management teams.

 

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years’ relevant recruitment industry experience within Investment Banking, Global Markets or financial services; front office preferred. 
  • Bachelor’s degree and / or commensurate years of experience required.   
  • Experience with C-suite / executive level staff; providing best-in-class sourcing, screening, and interviewing techniques. 
    • Experience as a senior level recruiter within a financial institution is required.
    • Experience establishing strong working relationships with top-tier retained search firms is required. 
  • Proven track record of strong Stakeholder and Client management.
  • Ability to: 
    • Learn overarching strategy and goals of the department.
    • Work collaboratively and creatively to find solutions for the Business Lines and Functions.
    • Understand operational process and to work closely with the HR Excellence Center located in Canada and Lisbon
  • Strong Communication skills both written and verbal; strict attention to detail.        Highly process and results-driven. 
  • Demonstrates Highest standard of integrity, ethics, and conduct.

Preferred qualifications: 

  • Knowledge of Institutional Banking business lines is a plus.


 

The expected starting salary range for this position is between $165,000 to $200,000 annually. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location.
