Job Title: Assistant Vice President, On-Site Controls Officer
Location: 787 Seventh Ave, New York, NY 10019
Duties: Perform periodic on-site controls for various BNP Paribas branches and affiliates to verify compliance with U.S. sanctions and norms. Enhance, review, and modify existing methodologies and test plans by preparing control questionnaires for each of the covered entities. Prepare and issue Remedial Action Plans (RAPs) based on On-Site findings identified by team on assignments. Execute special and ad-hoc projects of the GFS team. Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of stakeholder relationships. Drive the continuous development and improvement of the OSC methodology and work with Deputy Head and other OSC Directors to design and build OSC tools and techniques to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the OSC processes. Actively participate in the ARP (“Annual Review Plan”) Design, Methodology, Definition and Staffing, including embedding key learnings from previous ARP activities to continually enhance the ARP process, review and challenge assumptions, and present the ARP to GFS/FS Community leadership annually and in committees, as needed. Monitor the quality of OSC workpapers and RAPs on an ongoing basis in accordance with methodology through OSC internally developed QA program and issue QA reports to Head of OSC. Develop and maintain metrics for OSC management to be used in reporting and presentations. *Telecommuting permitted 40%: work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the BNP Paribas office in New York, NY. *30% domestic and international travel required to AMER, EMEA and APAC regions with BNPP presence.
SALARY: $121,722 - $140,000/ year
Work Schedule: 9am to 5pm, 40 hours a week. (Monday – Friday)
Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (US or Foreign Equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineer, Technology, Communications, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in Compliance, General Inspection, or Audit related occupation within an international bank or international financial services organization. Must have three (3) years of experience with: Demonstrated expertise (DE) with Federal Reserve Bank and/or Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) regulation requirements; DE performing financial security analyses within the banking industry or Financial Institute; DE working within international sanctions and risk & control frameworks; and DE with international sanctions and AML, filtering and screening tools within the banking industry or Financial Institute.
