Operational Risk Intern - LATAM
Main Responsibilities
- Data Management & Reporting
- Gather, validate and consolidate operational‑loss data from multiple business lines.
- Build and maintain Management‑Information (MI) dashboards that illustrate the bank’s operational‑risk profile.
- Assist in the preparation of periodic risk‑reporting packs (monthly, quarterly, ad‑hoc).
- Produce clear, concise slide decks and visualizations for senior stakeholders.
- Help conduct independent testing of existing operational‑risk controls and procedures to verify their effectiveness.
- Perform basic statistical analyses (loss frequency, severity, trend analysis).
- Assist in exploring AI tools and concepts (knowledge of AI/LLM a plus).
Position Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program (Accounting, Economics, Business, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field).
- Expected graduation ≥ 2027
- Strong analytical mindset; comfortable working with large data sets.
- Advanced MS Excel; experience with Power BI (or similar tools).
- Basic knowledge of Python for data extraction/manipulation (desired).
- Excellent written and verbal communication; capable of translating complex data into clear narratives.
- Experience creating executive‑level presentations (PowerPoint).
- Fluent English (mandatory). Proficiency in Spanish (plus).
- Understanding of AI/LLM concepts; exposure to AI tools is a plus.
- Experience with data platforms (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) is beneficial.
