Position Purpose: 

The automation tester ensures automation testing is carried out in accordance with the principles set out in the test strategy by

·        Implementing, maintaining, automated tests

·        Ensuring that the test cases cover requirements.

·        Overseeing the execution of automated tests

·        Contributing to the production of the test strategy.

The position requires working in a virtual team and international environment and is multidisciplinary in nature. It involves coordination with other locations and divisions of BNP Paribas as necessary. It is important that the candidate should have some financial products knowledge along with analytical skills and attention to details.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

·        Maintenance of existing scripts to suit as per the application changes. 

·        Implement test automation for regression packs of all applications in the product scope

·        Ensuring that the test cases cover requirements. 

·        Overseeing the execution of automated tests: 

o   Run automated tests, investigate anomalies and produce test evidence 

o   Test automation effort estimation 

Contributing Responsibilities

•       Contributing to the test strategy and its improvement

•       Contribute to the closure of the test phase for each release

•       Take role in the KT plan for new joiners

•       Share knowledge with functional testers on technical understanding of the automation

•       Help the SMs/PMs for coordination across down/up-stream applications.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

•       Minimum 5 years of experience in automation testing using UFT & Selenium combination. 

•       3 years of experience in automating functional regression test cases for WEB applications 

•       1 year of experience in REST APIs automation 

•       1 year of experience in Performance testing 

•       Experienced in hybrid automation framework 

•       Experienced in designing test automation scripts and strategy 

•       Experience in Linux. 

•       Cognizant in designing performance test scenarios, load profiles. 

•       Identify and prepare automation test data for automation. 

•       Expertise on CI / CD platform such as Jenkins & Bit Bucket / Git Hub 

•       Ability to switch between automation phases for different applications (parallel automation). 

•       Experience in executing batch jobs in windows and Linux environments. 

•       Defect raising, communication with various parties and track to closure. 

Specific Qualifications:

•       Minimum 5 years of experience along with Bachelor's Degree – in computer science or related field or equivalent experience

•       Prior experience in similar domain would be a plus

Nice to have: 

•       Expertise in implementation of centralized error log 

•       Should be willing to work as manual test engineer for on demand requests 

•       Experience in Octane, JIRA

• Playwright          2 years  Good Fundamentals 
• JMeter   1 year    Any other equivalent Performance tests.
• Postman              1 year    Any other equivalent (RESTASSURED)
