Job Title: Cloud Platform Engineer
Department: ITG- CPBS
About Business line/Function: BNPP Fortis APS
Position Purpose: Multi-cloud infrastructure provisioning via Terraform-based toolchain and Application deployment.
Primary Responsibility:
· Translate Detailed-technical-Design (DTD) specifications into Terraform configuration files to automate and standardize infrastructure deployment.
Deploy applications on cloud platform.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
1. DTD Translation
· Interpret DTD documentation (e.g., architecture diagrams, security requirements, network topologies) into Terraform (HCL) code.
· Ensure alignment with BNP Paribas Fortis cloud policies (e.g., security, cost, compliance).
2. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Ownership
· Develop, version-control (e.g., Git), and maintain Terraform modules/templates for reusable components.
· Collaborate with Cloud Architects and Security Teams to validate configurations.
3. Multi-Cloud Provisioning
· Deploy infrastructure across approved cloud providers (e.g., IT Cloud, dMZR as Code, ...) using Terraform.
· Manage state files securely (e.g., remote backends, locking mechanisms).
4. Compliance & Governance
· Enforce tagging standards, cost allocation, and resource quotas via Terraform.
5. Collaboration & Handover
· Document configurations in Confluence/Jira for operational teams.
· Support DevOps/SRE teams during deployment and troubleshooting.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies
Mandatory Skills:
· Terraform code – HCL
· Kubernetes
· Hashicorp Vault
- Networking: able to understand a Network topology. Knowledge about Ingress, Load Balancers, Network Policies (Calico), TCP/IP, DNS.
· Able to understand an architecture diagram
- Linux: Admin (RHEL/Ubuntu), troubleshooting (logs, networking, permissions), Bash/Python.
· Git / Gitlab CI (Bash)
· Log analysis
· Ansible
Nice to have:
· IBM Cloud: Proficiency in services (VPC, IKS, COS, IAM) and CLI (ibmcloud).
· Monitoring and alerting (Dynatrace / Sysdig): APM, metrics, alerts, K8s integration (OneAgent).
· Linux: Admin (RHEL/Ubuntu), troubleshooting (logs, networking, permissions), Bash/Python.
· Cloud Security: Knowledge about IAM, VPC Security Groups, secrets management (Vault, IBM Key Protect).
