Business Overview:

  • The North America Private Capital Client Delivery team forms part of the wider private capital team within the Alternative Investors (AI) client line.
  • Private Capital is engaged in the delivery of products and solutions to asset manager and asset owner clients investing in Private Equity (direct, fund of funds), Private Debt, Real Estate, Infrastructure. The main services delivered by the Private Capital teams are:  
    1. Depositary function (recork keeping, cash processing) – where relevant 
    2. Investors services  
    3. Accounting and valuation of Private Capital funds and relating companies (holding companies) 
    4. Middle office services (including Loan Solutions for Private Debt Funds)
    5. Digital solutions (Caplink Private portal) 
  • The team’s purpose is the delivery of client solutions and services designed specifically for General Partners investing in private assets
  • Primary role focus is the AI client line and client segment; however the global team’s coverage also encompasses responsibility for asset owners investing into Private Capital asset classes.

Responsibilities: 

Service Delivery responsibilities

  • Manage and lead the Loan Solutions US Operations team: (i) day-to-day management of team, (ii) ensure the team operates as a team at all times, locally and with peers in other regions, (iii) mentor and train staff to develop a broad skillset relevant to their career development.
  • Ensure Client Satisfaction by effectively and proactively solving issues, stimulating client focus and assure that the SLAs are respected.
  • Partner with Loan Solutions and Private Capital Operational teams based in other locations, to leverage and roll out processes (where relevant) for clients supported globally.
  • Provide primary contribution to the production and maintenance of robust procedures and ensure adherence to all applicable US regulatory requirements as well as group policies
  • Ensure Risk mitigation and supervision by contributing to the definition and implementation of controls and by controlling and ensuring that procedures are followed.
  • Identify and follow up on incidents, ensuring escalation of subject in line with incident management procedure.
  • Define and measure the proper activity management indicators (e.g. KAIs, KRIs, KPIs, KQIs) and ensure that the information is shared with the appropriate people.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of market environment related to Loan Solutions, Private Debt, Liquid Credit, and Private Capital industry, related industries and any regulation relevant thereto.
  • Provide input and consultation to the local Product & Solutions team on pricing for new deals and structures.
  • Contribute to Business development by participating in new projects, sponsoring continuous improvements initiatives, contributing to the development of client relationships and ensuring a good relationship with the parent location.
  • Monitor closely IOC deliverables and ensure SLAs are met.


People Management & Leadership

  • Training and supporting daily activities by defining the training plan and its completion by all team members. 
  • Follow up budget staff evolution, preparing recruitment and coordinating strategy and organization with Head of Loan Solutions and HR.
  • Assure People Development by contributing to the process of people management in line with the career path and by defining Team members’ objectives and Personal development plans.
  • Identify high potential candidates / talents work actively in succession planning
  • Define annual objectives for the team
  • Instill a client focus mindset within the teams (including the ones based in IOC)
  • Supervise new deals and processes implementation in production
  • Ensure the team adopts right practices to monitor and leverage activity indicators (e.g. KPIs,KRIs,KQIs)


Tech and Business Change Management

  • In coordination with other teams, identify improvement areas within the Loan Solutions US operating model, define and implement solutions to streamline processes.
  • Contribute to digitalization and industrialization initiatives that could benefit Loan Solutions, Private Capital, CIB2S and/or CIB.
  • Implement process changes, people or systems (technology) to better align the company with its business strategy and vision
  • Analyse and document transformational deal impacting the service model / target operating model / tech platforms 
  • Provide business expertise in operational change processes
  • Suggest evolution of operating model to ensure an optimal client and operations experience for Private Debt funds
  • Participate to new clients’ integrations, new investment strategies, and new financial instruments
  • Participate in testing the new functionalities of the Loan Solutions/Middle office platforms (Sentry/FIA, Sentry/Geneva)

 

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor in BA, Finance, Mathematics or Data Analysis

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Direct Lending Leveraged Loan Fund Portfolios / CLOs
  • Sentry
  • Experience in Loan Closing
  • Understanding of Swift format and cash instructions flow.
  • Business change management or business transformation experience
  • Experience in a client-facing environment
  • Demonstrable communication (oral and written) and presentation skills

The expected starting salary range for this position is between $110k to $135k annually. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location.
