About The Team
- We are looking for a mid- to senior‑level kdb developer whose primary mission is to maintain, evolve, and steward our existing data platform
- The successful applicant will be a core member of the Analytics KDB team. You will design, build, and maintain high‑performance KDB+/q applications that ingest, transform, store and serve the full set of electronic‑equities market data used across the firm. You will work on production‑grade systems, partner closely with both business users (traders, quants, analysts) and IT stakeholders (data‑engineering, security, infrastructure) and help deliver the low‑latency data foundation that powers real‑time and historical analytics for Cash Equities.
Your Main Activities Are
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders, to understand and refine the requirements
- Design, code, test and deploy KDB+/q services for enriching raw data with various metrics and presenting in the most impactful fashion
- Profile and tune KDB queries, identify bottlenecks in data retrieval or pipeline stages
- Participate in on‑call rotation; resolve production incidents and perform root‑cause analysis
- Contribute to automated unit, integration and performance tests and CI pipelines
- Implement schema‑validation and outlier‑detection checks.
- Document code, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge transfer and maintain a comprehensive record of development activities
- Develop business‑focused dashboards using Tableau or Python (Plotly/Streamlit) , or via official analytics pipelines
- Provide self‑service visual tools for analysts to explore equities data without writing code.
Profile and Skills to Success
- Pursing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Familiarity with KDB+/q technologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies
